An advent calendar! I don't know what it's like in your country, but here in Norway Christmas isn't complete without an advent calendar of some sort! :D So here's one where half the days are dressup games, while the rest will be drawings.

I did my best to try and be creative with these games, by taking various Christmas figures I know of and featuring them in this, and some of my own original characters will also be featured here. The first days will have simple games, but they'll get more and more complicated with more and more options as the days go by (Hopefully I'll be able to finish them all before their deadline. >_>), so make sure to check it out. I'll update with a new entry every single day until the 24th.

Day 1 - It starts out simple, with a simple drag&drop game featuring a small number of options and items. This one is winter-themed and features a female model.

Day 3 - Simple winter-themed game featuring a male model. Slightly bigger than day 1, features new options such as skin colour.

Day 5 - The first game that has a menu. This one features a snowman and a greater number of options than day 1 and 3. When making these simpler games that are technically character creators, I tried to make it as costumizable as possible with different styles without adding too many items.

Day 7 - A much bigger and more customizable game than day 5, this one features a gingerbread man/woman where you can costumize literally every part of it. As with the snowman, adding some extra options like body shape was fairly easy since the theme itself requires very simple drawings.

Day 9 - Much more well-drawn than the previous days, however as it features two already established characters from my novel it isn't as costumizable as day 5 and 7 and doesn't have as many options. It's worth noting that the fashion and description/name of these characters is no longer canon as far as the story they're from goes, though.

Day 11 - The first puzzle of the calendar. It features a scene from one of the comic ideas I have. The characters are, from left to right: Sosi, Lapel, Felil, Qina, Tigfa. They're being chased by a creature known as "The Forest Devil", which is a mysterious creature that mostly dwells in the forests, and it is the main reason why children are forbidden from entering the forests in Magia.

Day 13 - Santa Lucia day. Santa Lucia is always dressed in a white dress with a red ribbon tied around the waist, as well as a crown of candles on her head. Sadly, I went about making this game in a lazy way which is hard to fix now, so you need to choose the colour of the eyes/hair BEFORE you choose the style.

Day 15 - This game was sadly very rushed. I had planned for this to be a very beautiful game featuring many options, but as I ran out of time and had to focus on the other days instead I was forced to simplify the drawings and remove many of the options. I hope you'll like it anyway.

Day 17 - Another puzzle, this time featuring some characters from an animation series I will make in the future. The series itself will be fantasy/comedy/drama, and it will feature all the characters in this calendar that are labeled as coming from "Unnamed story", as I have yet to think of a name for the story. The characters are: Erik (shovel-arm), Kim (long dark brown hair), Simon (brown jacket, red scarf), Shane (emo boy), Benny (cyan hair) and Ayman (invisible).

Day 19 - Yet another puzzle. This one features some more characters from the Magia story, namely the soldiers from Arctica, and a scene that will be featured in the comic. The characters are from left to right: Maiehuta, Luveluli, Givununu, Neika, Peipinut, and sergeant Oninoipa.

Day 21 - Another somewhat rushed dressup game, but on this one it looks fine since I decided to draw it in a very simple style reminiscent of children's books. This features a well known figure from Scandinavian folklore called a nisse, which is very often featured in Scandinavian Christmas cards. In every illustration I've found of nisser they're dressed in oldfashioned Norwegian clothing like knitted sweaters, bunad-like dresses, ankle-length skirts and wooden shoes, and that paired with the background extras like the rosepaint border and the guy with the fiddle made me feel a little overwhelmed, to be honest. This game is so ultra-Norwegian that it looks like the romanticism movement threw up on it.
Also, the background is obviously just some crappy photo I found lying around on my computer, the only somewhat decent winter photo I had, actually.
