The Nine Dragons Prologue

Once, long ago, in a time forgotten, there were nine dragons who watched over the land. They were the diamond, the opal, the ruby, the emerald, the sapphire, the topaz, the jasper, the onyx, and the quartz. Then, one day, the evil black dragon, Norcazru, Invaded the land, spreading his darkness over it. Things started to change: plants died, animals were mutated, becoming shadows of what they once were, the dead were risen to a degree that not even the onyx was capable of. These provided the army that Norcazru needed to take over the land. What he did expect was for the nine dragons and the many races of the land to come up against him. While the armies of the dead and the living were fighting, the nine dragons were battling with the black. They soon found that they were not strong enough. So they did something that they have never done before. All of the dragons, save for the diamond, transformed into nine relics, and combined. But something went wrong. The eight relics, in a sudden flash of light, were spread across the world, along with eight shards. The diamond, now empowered with the energy of his brothers and sisters, was left to deal with Norcazru himself, and a mighty clash ensued. Mountains were leveled and flat plains were raised. The ocean boiled and the air roared with the sheer power of their clash. The diamond saw what they were doing to the land that he was supposed to protect, and used all of his power for one last spell. He sealed Norcazru into a volcano. The diamond, having finished his duty, reverted into a relic to hibernate. The relic floated down into the gentle hands of a soldier. And the rebuilding of the land soon began.

Present Time:

The tale of the nine dragon's ancient battle with the evil black dragon has long been lost to time. But their story is not yet over. There's a volcano that has been active for who knows how long. Recently, the volcano has been getting ready to explode. The strange thing is, it has grown twice in size, which is scaring people. There's also this cult group that has recently been very active lately, The Eye of Norcazru. One day, a group of them climbed up the volcano and circled around the mouth. They started chanting a spell, somehow being heard all over the world. When the chant was finished, it happened.........the volcano erupted with such force that no one was expecting. And, out of the lava rose Norcazru, mutated by his imprisonment. He quickly went to work creating his army again. Some of the undead started terrorizing the city, until I came. I held a relic in the air and muttered a spell in an ancient language. The relic glowed and flew up to the air, transforming into the diamond dragon. Yeah....remember that soldier from times long forgotten? I'm one of his direct descendants. Now I'm on a mission to find the other eight dragons, and then five more, but I can't do it alone. Will you help me? Or will you cower?
