The GuardianI thought him up. I gave him a name. I talked to him when no one was around. I made him feel needed.
And when I was crying myself to sleep again after another war-day of swishing word-bullets and exploding slap-bombs, he came to console me. Because I needed him.
He appeared part after part, limb after limb, organ after organ. Out of nowhere it seemed, as if it was the air itself that congealed in the weird shapes. As if the nature itself wanted to help me in my anguish.
First night, it was only a pair of yellow eyes, shining with luminous gentle light in the dark corner of my room. I was not afraid because I knew it was him, my dearest friend. He only stared then, for it was all he could do having only a pair of eyes, but it was enough for me to feel better. It will get better. It will.
Every time I needed him, there was more of him materializing in my room. Gradually, he showed himself, just as I imagined him. He was small - the size of an average poodle - but he could be more Long Way Down pt 1It was one of the biggest buildings in the world. 180 floors, and we were going to have to get to the top. It all started a month ago when we got an e-mail from a Nurse Joy from this city. Apparently, her Audino went missing and wanted to employ us to go find it. We were only going to get one grand for the gig, and since that really can't feed us, we half-assed the search. After two weeks, we gave up and were about to head back home when we got a bunch more letters from other Nurse Joys from around the city, complaining about the same thing. Suddenly, one grand per Audino didn't seem like such a bad idea. Our informant (of whom we never really wanted business with) caught wind of what we were doing and wanted to help.  We had no leads, so we figured we'd let him do all the work. Which lead us here, gawking at the sheer height of the damn thing. To wandering visitors, it looks like a normal...well, not exactly normal, but you catch my drift, insurance office building. The CEO

Earth cannot hold the despair of a goddess whose heart is storm and whose blood is water; a goddess whose breast is nephos and who sobs sonic bursts. It bids her to remain in her domain where the vast cosmos may drown her emotions in sunlight, forgotten by all but the stars; it bids her away, as not to crush the children of spirit and earth, fire and air. She came anyways, seeking the ever-replenishing bosom of the blue and green planet.
Shadows seeped across a sky crowned with sun-kissed clouds. Shafts of sunlight suffocated in the despair of her oncoming storm and the wind thrashed. The terra resisted her, stone arms rising as pillars against the darkness.  Water fled, rushing down stone stairs, roaring, charging, foaming. White spray crashed down and against the pool walls only to turn and weep down another rock face. Her cries shook stone plateaus and she wrung the serpentine wind for all it was worth and screamed to trees that bowed in terror.
