Personality: Joshua comes off as a fairly quiet person if somewhat of an introvert at first glance. But Joshua really does enjoy other people's company yet is simply reluctant to trust others so easily. Joshua is mild mannered, pessimistic with a large amount of patience of others. Josh has his moments where he puts out a few snide comments when upset or annoyed (expect for friends) and can be surpisely very stubborn when he puts his efforts into something.
But once Joshua is more used to you, he's actually kind hearted, loyal to almost a fault to people and his pokemon and does his best to look out for them. But as of right now, Joshua isn't so keen in being in the army..he's just not complaining. Josh is just not happy doing the whole thing because well...he is not even interested in the war (Though he does feel rather bad to fight and choose to join due of pressure of rotting in jail. (Really who would want that? The war could last a few years and he'd be free by then? Who knows?) If anything Josh wants to just go home in Unova at the first chance..legally at least. But Josh can't do anything about it so Joshua is accepting his situation, following orders decently and trying his best to survive being in the army and get out of the war in one piece.
Joshua was always fascinated by pokemon ever since he was a child but liking and fully interacting with a mon is a different story especially with his limited knowledge outside of Unova. He'd seen them many times in his life but never once handled one. At first, Joshua thought the pokemon idea was a terrible idea and was against it seeing that no good would come from this. However he'd had to face facts but as long pokemon were treated right then...Josh won't complain. But already Gata and his team mates had already grew on him espically the darumaka, gata. So Joshua began treat his team mates as his allies (friends) rather than weapons and took care of them to the best of his abliltes. Personally Josh can relate to them about being forced to fight to fight for a cause neither of them believed in.
</b> Backstory:</b> Joshua was born on the dusty plains of the Desert Resort. The middle child out of four siblings, his family who are come from a native unova line. Joshua's mother from an she had been fighting for years. Her death turned their father to become more and more emotionally detached to his children, eventually remarried and moved out becoming enstanged as a result. Leaving their grandfather to be their guardian to the four kids. Joshua who was taught from a young age, stories to respect pokemon as they are but to stay away living on his family ranch. Joshua kept that rule to heart. However though he always wanted to interact with a pokemon up close if there was more to pokemon than just animals? But there was stuff to do at the ranch especially to keep the ranch up and running. Years later, his grandfather soon passed five years back leaving the now adult siblings to take care of things.
Eventually Joshua took up backpacking to get over his depression and exploring Unova eventually leaving for another region. But he'd sending osscional letters back home to keep in touch. At first Joshua avoided Kanto and Johto for some time during the warfare. Eventually during the stand off and curiosity got the best of him, the borders took too long. So..feeling daring Joshua took up a chance to climb up Mt. Sliver and into johto that way…however the army caught him crossing the borderlines and was arrested and charged as a possible spy from the Kanto region. Luckily…Josh was found innocent (or maybe it was the fear that Unova will get on their bad side then side with Kanto if they found out about Joshua..who from Unova) however what he did was still considered a major crime and was later given an alternative sentence. To face about twenty years in jail or serve his sentence by drafting into the Johto army.
I think we both know where this is going?
Reason of Defection: Joshua's patience had finally ran thin with Johto. The loss of his home was emotionally devastating enough to spiral him into depression. But now Unova has sided with Kanto, tensions like many unovan soliders.. they were cut off from their remaining families and racism veiwed many of the johto-Unova soldiers with suspicion especially how Josh was unable to even leave camp with a growing sense of bitterness towards johto and the war itself. So with little hope, a loss of purpose, doubts and worry for himself and the lives of his pokemon. The fact how Gata looked up to him and trusted him while he seem to lead them on in battle left him wondering if the cause was even worth it?
But Joshua was unsure to act upon them due to his connections with his friends. But Jane's message and Katya's mental messaging exploited his feelings against the war, his fears, freedom and concerns for his pokemon lives spur him to defect. One incident with his own group shattered his remaining tust and spur him over the egde. Joshua is finally done with the military and he plans to escape...he is unsure where this will lead him. But Joshua swore that he'll never come back to Johto...ever.
But even if Josh is completely serious about leaving but at the same time, it still pains him to leave the his remaining friends behind like this. But alas...that how the tales of war often go.
Post R3: For a moment, Joshua had tried to stay for his friends. But when he spoke against his captian for killing a team out suspected of defecting. Joshua's trust in johto was completely shattered when his group turned on him. Joshua had successfully escaped and joined the rogues but not without paying a high price for his treachery. If by a string of luck, a young rogue ( Nathaniel) lend his assistance in his escape from his own group who tried to end him after killing their own comrade out of paranoia. There was a moment where his pent up resentment, anger and hatred for the war, johto broke though while fighting Daniel and Leroy who tried to take him back to johto by force. Josh and Gata won in the end. So while Joshua has regain that sense of freedom but still has regrets for his past actions as a rogue making a vow to see to the end of the war even more so when his little 'rescuer' turns out to be his little brother.
At this point, Joshua had to rethink his priotoies and accepted the reality that his old allies will pretty hates his guts and more or less will kill him on sight. Such examples were what happened between Mathis and Rory. So while Joshua does not like the idea of attacking his friends (Well..They are still friends to him)....between him and his own allies. Theses days Joshua is steady becoming more passive-aggressive. Joshua will stand between them and the 'enemy' and fight tooth and nail before you lay a finger on his allies. By then, Josh and his pokemon will pretty much have broken every bone in your body and let you live.

-He is a proud Unovan and his loyalties do lie with his home country however he still refuses to support Kanto or the war in any manner.
-Joshua had those feather as a child from his first encounter with a pokemon. (It was a rufflet) But now has only one feather left. It was left behind at the battle of Erutrek along with the shovel. Whatever happened to them is a mystery.
-Outside his siblings, Joshua hardly opened up to people to those he met but..not at first. But once Josh lets you in....he has a tendency to let himself get attach and open. But if you mess with his trust, Josh will hold a nasty grudge or simply not trust you ever again.
-Joshua's family life was centered around his siblings and their grandfather. After their grandfather's passing, the siblings even as adults they have kept close contact to eachother as their family especially during war times. So Joshua always cared about them and misses them dearly, sending them letters and his paychecks. His siblings mean the world to him, so he would do anything to see them again especially during theses harsh times.
-The scars on his forearms were from an attack of a Krookdile when he was a teenager...needed alot of stitches afterwards. He used to have bandages to cover them but decided to ditch them.
- Joshua adores cute pokemon and kids, just he just dotes on them like an idiot like a momma hen/big brother figure and huggles them like mad.
-The marks on his face were thanks to Madgian due to suspicions over his case..among other things after the battle of Unova. Actually Josh is aware of how dangerous the official is, yet too stubborn to bow down to an ass like him....but he's..simply bad news. It was just an encounter but Josh was lucky to get away with a 'light' beating. They'll might fade with time, the memory..not so much.
-Josh likes all pokemon but their are two things that he'd never be comfortable with he is not comfortable around ghosts pokemon or anything that is a reptile with big teeth near him. (The krookdile)
-Joshua is somewhat supertious and he belives in alot of folklore about pokemon but he does believe in facts shown to him.
-Joshua has a phobia of ghost pokemon; it stems from the belief that the ghost pokemon are the incarnations of pokemon and people's souls who resent the living. So he respects and fears the dead. Basically the living dead and the fact that most Unovan ghost types are pretty... mean to humans. He's trying to get over it to some extent.
-Josh doesn't really care if your from Kanto or johto, he's pretty lax about most subjects. Joshua is not into the whole...kill every kanto person, you see. But he does show reluctance to trust if you did tried to kill him before.
-Joshua has a fear and aversion to take another life even if his life is in grave danger. It's just it feels so wrong.. Joshua cannot dealt the final blow on his own instead in combat he focuses on incapatraing or disabling the enemy. He won't kill you.. but you'll break you if he must.

Gata | Darmanatian | Naughty/ Highly persistent | Sheer Force |Gender: Female
Pokemon bio / personality: Gata was just an unlucky baby pokemon who wondered away from her mother and was captured by the military. Gata grew up completely used around humans and her new lifestyle forgetting most of her old life in the wild. But Gata's hyperactive and mischvrious tendencies, lack of taking things seriously or her handlers (especially if it's during a war) if anything at all. Gata was passed around until Gata was shoved over to Joshua under the assumption he had the knowledge (being from Unova) and know how to handle such a pokemon. Actually Josh had no experience with the species and a handful of information to go on.
However they grew pretty close to one another was the war raged on. Joshua cared about Gata and Gata cared about her 'big' brother figure. However the biggest issue is her naivety and lack of understanding the concept of war that she will fight not just pokemon but other humans in the future.
Round 2: There is a big change in Gata after her first, terrifying experience with war. Gata was so frightened beyond her wits and was unable barely to do much during the battle. So there was a loss of innocence but moreover she felt terrible of watching both Joshua and Austro fight and hurt themselves. Gata has some concept of war in mind...that alot of people want to kill her 'brother' and somebody has to protect them. So Gata has promised herself to become stronger and not make the same mistake ever again.
When Joshua choose to defect. Josh knew Gata's fear of war, so he offered to release Gata into the wild believing he had no right to involde her into further conflict. Dispite his good intentions and risk that he'll be fighting by himself (this is before riley). Gata choose not to flee the battlefield and return to her friend, evolving in the process to become stronger. Gata is...still trying to get used to her size and streagth, missing her old habits with Joshua and being 'cute'. Gata remains friendly, mellowed out a bit, but still enjoys a good time. Joshua still loves and cares for her as ever. But Gata does not look forward to fighting her former friends but she refuses to back down and defend Joshua (The rest of the team) with her life if nessary.
In terms of strength. Gata has surpisely become the most offensive member in the group with Austro coming in second. Gata is learning to master Flare blitz but she has a good grasp on Earthquake to start quakes with her feet. Joshua is teaching Gata to not go all out to their opponents, in respect to the rogues 'no-kill' policy. But there are moments sometimes even she goes overboard in the heat of battle.

Joshua should had been more detailed in which Pokemon, he wanted. A ground type, any kind that was not a reptile. What he got was Austro. Maybe the officials thought Josh could handle the hippowdon like he did with Gata? Prideful, stubborn and seemly much more behaved than Gata but less than friendly. Hailing from the deserts of Hoenn, Austro was once the Alpha and leader of his herd until they were ambushed and taken by the johto military. Austro greatly dislikes humans as a result especially how they 'plugged' up his back in order to suppress his sand stream ability. This causes great discomfort and stress. Upon first meeting, Austro saw Joshua as nothing but a 'pansy' and wanted to buck him off and stomp on his head. Nearly did so if it weren't for Gata's chittering. But Astro doesn't mind other pokemon..in fact he's more friendly towards Gata (other pokemon count too if they don't piss him off) than his trainer and humans. However he can be convinced to do something if offered an apple….Austro loves to sleep in his dirt pile and eat especially apples or chew on some unlucky person's boots.
Austro groggily obey orders...now and then but he will do it his own way even if it means trampling a few humans in the process.
Austro and Joshua's relationship is..tolerable at best. Even if the hippowdon did try to 'crush' the lad at first. But thanks to Gata's constant chittering somehow convinced him to at least 'try' to make nice with his handler besides who else feeds him? Austro tolerates him to an extent and that's it. Everyone else should fuck off. Joshua is obviously intimidated of this beast but he still tries to win Austro over anyways. Austro is can pretty fast once he uses dig or the moment he lets himself loose on the battle field. (On all fours...he's freakishly slow)
Notes: -Joshua needs to pry at least one hole open..with his shovel/pick for Austro's sand stream to kick in. However to re-plug his holes is another story entirely.
Round 2: Austro had proven himself well in battle. But the hippowdon had suffered greatly from second degree burns to the right side of face, thanks to Kushka resulting in scarring. Luckily his goggles saved his eyesight. Joshua had saved the hippo from further injury having stayed and fought off many pokemon as he could. This act has earned Austro some meager respect for his handler but still thinks he's somewhat a pansy but no longer attacks him. Yet he still has limited tolerance towards other humans.
Post r3: Austro has fully recovered from his injuries but his face is still scarred and very tender. So to avoid a similar incident Joshua started out as crafting something to protect Austro's face. But with some help from his younger brother eventually grew into a project to make new pokemon amour for Austro. However Austro can't fully go underground.. with the amour the best is if he submerges up to his head. It's useful wear for when Austro could not go underground in battle and can be used a battering ram or scare the fuck out of everyone else.. yes the horn is blunt. But Austro seems strangely proud of his new look as a result.

Pokemon bio / personality: Fearn lived a lonely but peaceful life in johto. Where he lived in a nice place own by some strange humans and they fascinate him but was too shy too approach. So much so he actually let himself become caught by the army came when it grew tired of his solitarily existence. Fearn did not expect be thursted into a war. At first Joshua though the sudowoodo was a grass type even the army mistook Fearn as a grass type, so when he asked for one. Fearn was passed over to him. At first it went well..until he tried to water him, he'd suffered one too many sucker punchs to the gut until a friend finally told it was actually a rock type. Thankfully Fearn forgave them for the misconception and often spends time...simply...imitating a tree and watching others. Fearn is lacking some common sense but a good natured mon and definitely a shy one obviously not used to interactions from anyone. But sudowoodo expresses interest and curiosity towards humans but easily frightened around pokemon espically those who are bigger than him. Fearn is still unsure of himself as a fighter among the group. But Fearn can be a very capable fighter if urged to be but if frightened or spooked either he instant 'hardens'.
Riley | Rotom (mow form) | Hasty/ Mischievous | Levitate |Gender: Unknown
Pokemon bio / personality: In sheer honsetly, Joshua has NO IDEA what this pokemon is...it's the second weirdest apokemon he'd ever seen. (The first was a vanilite) Not to mention...INSANE. The latest pokemon in his party. Joshua is sort of scared of this thing and his wild behavior especially being a ghost pokemon. (He's trying to get over his phobia) Josh is still trying to get though with Riley and hopes to find some even ground. If Riley could remotely understand what's going on around him.
Riley was a 'basement' experiment by some crazy scientist who lives with his mother. The rogues had found and rescued Riley before he was sent to the nearest military laboratory after the man's arrest. But the experiments have done a number to the ghost's noggin especially his sense of judgment driven by basically rotom instinct. It took some major work to get Riley functioning again. The rotom still has a mentality and attitude of a misbehaving dog who loves to chew on anything that is either green or moving and shock the fuck out of them. He has no intention of hurting others, simply play with the funny humans in his chaotic little way like all Rotoms love to do. Riley finds his handler funny and tries to 'chase' him and the other rogues on a daily basis.
Riley attacks with SP and inflicts status attacks once down.. he'll swoop in and well.. nom on you like mad. Riley does listens to Josh's order way but too far in between. To him, it seems to be fun to 'him'. However Riley instantly becomes a complete coward if encountered with a larger pokemon or with a type disadvantage, both. Riley stops and runs away like a little dog back to his trainer.
Noraka | Munna | Sassy / Thoroughly cunning | Synchronize |Gender: Female
Pokemon bio / personality:
Noraka is usually a sweetie but she likes to have her own way and be the center of attention like a princess. Noraka is not afraid to say what she wants and can be gutsy at times even to larger oppanents. The little munna has potential to be great. But if angered or upset Nora's powers can become very unpredictable. When she does not have her way, she throws random fits either crying or chucking a 'table' at you're head. Noraka has yet accept Joshua as her handler but admits that he's 'Okay' for a 'dork'.
As one of the offspring pokemon from Jane's pilot project. Noraka was born weak at birth therefore she needed to be hand raised by humans. So Noraka grew up under her human caretaker whom she called "Nana' who diligently took care of her and loved her like a little princess. As a result, Noraka grew somewhat spoiled but happy yet after the latest battle. (*Ahem* Noraka's old handler was killed during the siege. Nora, just understands she was sent to the 'happy' place in the clouds. She's still unhappy about it.). So when they tried to pass Noraka to a new caretaker. But nobody seem to want the munna neither did she until Joshua who felt sorry for her took up off the offer to raise her. Maybe Josh needed a support mon. Joshua feels confident that he can handle Noraka, at least he has reasonable knowledge of her species and yes, he knows she's a dream eater... she eats from his head every now and then.
.....Actually bottom-line Joshua just could not resist Noraka's cute adorable face. But as of yet, Joshua has yet to experience any form of telepathy yet, so he has no idea what Nora is thinking, much to her displeasure. He just thinks Noraka is a cute if somewhat spoiled munna. Much to Noraka's annoyance and referring Joshie as a 'dud'.
In battle, Noraka will floats around Joshua's head (or sit on it like Gata used to) as the team's support unit and cast useful moves such as Trick room to slow faster opponents or speed up her own teams or safeguard the team from status effects. Protect is used on herself and Joshua and Psychic.. Joshua is teaching her to use the surroundings as a weapon or stop an enemy's movements in close combat.

But Jane's message and Katya's mental messaging exploited his feelings against the war, his fears, freedom and concerns for his pokemon lives spur him to defect. One incident with his own group shattered his remaining tust and spur him over the egde. Joshua is finally done with the military and he plans to escape...he is unsure where this will lead him. But Joshua swore that he'll never come back to Johto...ever.
But even if Josh is completely serious about leaving but at the same time, it still pains him to leave the his remaining friends behind like this. But alas...that how the tales of war often go.
Post R3: For a moment, Joshua had tried to stay for his friends. But when he spoke against his captian for killing a team out suspected of defecting. Joshua's trust in johto was completely shattered when his group turned on him. Joshua had successfully escaped and joined the rogues but not without paying a high price for his treachery. If by a string of luck, a young rogue ( Nathaniel) lend his assistance in his escape from his own group who tried to end him after killing their own comrade out of paranoia. There was a moment where his pent up resentment, anger and hatred for the war, johto broke though while fighting Daniel and Leroy who tried to take him back to johto by force. Josh and Gata won in the end. So while Joshua has regain that sense of freedom but still has regrets for his past actions as a rogue making a vow to see to the end of the war even more so when his little 'rescuer' turns out to be his little brother.
At this point, Joshua had to rethink his priotoies and accepted the reality that his old allies will pretty hates his guts and more or less will kill him on sight. Such examples were what happened between Mathis and Rory. So while Joshua does not like the idea of attacking his friends (Well..They are still friends to him)....between him and his own allies. Theses days Joshua is steady becoming more passive-aggressive. Joshua will stand between them and the 'enemy' and fight tooth and nail before you lay a finger on his allies. By then, Josh and his pokemon will pretty much have broken every bone in your body and let you live.

-He is a proud Unovan and his loyalties do lie with his home country however he still refuses to support Kanto or the war in any manner.
-Joshua had those feather as a child from his first encounter with a pokemon. (It was a rufflet) But now has only one feather left. It was left behind at the battle of Erutrek along with the shovel. Whatever happened to them is a mystery.
-Outside his siblings, Joshua hardly opened up to people to those he met but..not at first. But once Josh lets you in....he has a tendency to let himself get attach and open. But if you mess with his trust, Josh will hold a nasty grudge or simply not trust you ever again.
-Joshua's family life was centered around his siblings and their grandfather. After their grandfather's passing, the siblings even as adults they have kept close contact to eachother as their family especially during war times. So Joshua always cared about them and misses them dearly, sending them letters and his paychecks. His siblings mean the world to him, so he would do anything to see them again especially during theses harsh times.
-The scars on his forearms were from an attack of a Krookdile when he was a teenager...needed alot of stitches afterwards. He used to have bandages to cover them but decided to ditch them.
- Joshua adores cute pokemon and kids, just he just dotes on them like an idiot like a momma hen/big brother figure and huggles them like mad.
-The marks on his face were thanks to Madgian due to suspicions over his case..among other things after the battle of Unova. Actually Josh is aware of how dangerous the official is, yet too stubborn to bow down to an ass like him....but he's..simply bad news. It was just an encounter but Josh was lucky to get away with a 'light' beating. They'll might fade with time, the memory..not so much.
-Josh likes all pokemon but their are two things that he'd never be comfortable with he is not comfortable around ghosts pokemon or anything that is a reptile with big teeth near him. (The krookdile)
-Joshua is somewhat supertious and he belives in alot of folklore about pokemon but he does believe in facts shown to him.
-Joshua has a phobia of ghost pokemon; it stems from the belief that the ghost pokemon are the incarnations of pokemon and people's souls who resent the living. So he respects and fears the dead. Basically the living dead and the fact that most Unovan ghost types are pretty... mean to humans. He's trying to get over it to some extent.
-Josh doesn't really care if your from Kanto or johto, he's pretty lax about most subjects. Joshua is not into the whole...kill every kanto person, you see. But he does show reluctance to trust if you did tried to kill him before.
-Joshua has a fear and aversion to take another life even if his life is in grave danger. It's just it feels so wrong.. Joshua cannot dealt the final blow on his own instead in combat he focuses on incapatraing or disabling the enemy. He won't kill you.. but you'll break you if he must.

Pokemon:
Gata | Darmanatian | Naughty/ Highly persistent | Sheer Force |Gender: Female
Pokemon bio / personality: Gata was just an unlucky baby pokemon who wondered away from her mother and was captured by the military. Gata grew up completely used around humans and her new lifestyle forgetting most of her old life in the wild. But Gata's hyperactive and mischvrious tendencies, lack of taking things seriously or her handlers (especially if it's during a war) if anything at all. Gata was passed around until Gata was shoved over to Joshua under the assumption he had the knowledge (being from Unova) and know how to handle such a pokemon. Actually Josh had no experience with the species and a handful of information to go on.
However they grew pretty close to one another was the war raged on. Joshua cared about Gata and Gata cared about her 'big' brother figure. However the biggest issue is her naivety and lack of understanding the concept of war that she will fight not just pokemon but other humans in the future.
Round 2: There is a big change in Gata after her first, terrifying experience with war. Gata was so frightened beyond her wits and was unable barely to do much during the battle. So there was a loss of innocence but moreover she felt terrible of watching both Joshua and Austro fight and hurt themselves. Gata has some concept of war in mind...that alot of people want to kill her 'brother' and somebody has to protect them. So Gata has promised herself to become stronger and not make the same mistake ever again.
When Joshua choose to defect. Josh knew Gata's fear of war, so he offered to release Gata into the wild believing he had no right to involde her into further conflict. Dispite his good intentions and risk that he'll be fighting by himself (this is before riley). Gata choose not to flee the battlefield and return to her friend, evolving in the process to become stronger. Gata is...still trying to get used to her size and streagth, missing her old habits with Joshua and being 'cute'. Gata remains friendly, mellowed out a bit, but still enjoys a good time. Joshua still loves and cares for her as ever. But Gata does not look forward to fighting her former friends but she refuses to back down and defend Joshua (The rest of the team) with her life if nessary.
In terms of strength. Gata has surpisely become the most offensive member in the group with Austro coming in second. Gata is learning to master Flare blitz but she has a good grasp on Earthquake to start quakes with her feet. Joshua is teaching Gata to not go all out to their opponents, in respect to the rogues 'no-kill' policy. But there are moments sometimes even she goes overboard in the heat of battle.
Austro | Hippowdon | Serious/ likes to eat | Sand Stream |Gender: Male
Pokemon bio / personality:
Joshua should had been more detailed in which Pokemon, he wanted. A ground type, any kind that was not a reptile. What he got was Austro. Maybe the officials thought Josh could handle the hippowdon like he did with Gata? Prideful, stubborn and seemly much more behaved than Gata but less than friendly. Hailing from the deserts of Hoenn, Austro was once the Alpha and leader of his herd until they were ambushed and taken by the johto military. Austro greatly dislikes humans as a result especially how they 'plugged' up his back in order to suppress his sand stream ability. This causes great discomfort and stress. Upon first meeting, Austro saw Joshua as nothing but a 'pansy' and wanted to buck him off and stomp on his head. Nearly did so if it weren't for Gata's chittering. But Astro doesn't mind other pokemon..in fact he's more friendly towards Gata (other pokemon count too if they don't piss him off) than his trainer and humans. However he can be convinced to do something if offered an apple….Austro loves to sleep in his dirt pile and eat especially apples or chew on some unlucky person's boots.
Austro groggily obey orders...now and then but he will do it his own way even if it means trampling a few humans in the process.
Austro and Joshua's relationship is..tolerable at best. Even if the hippowdon did try to 'crush' the lad at first. But thanks to Gata's constant chittering somehow convinced him to at least 'try' to make nice with his handler besides who else feeds him? Austro tolerates him to an extent and that's it. Everyone else should fuck off. Joshua is obviously intimidated of this beast but he still tries to win Austro over anyways. Austro is can pretty fast once he uses dig or the moment he lets himself loose on the battle field. (On all fours...he's freakishly slow)
Notes: -Joshua needs to pry at least one hole open..with his shovel/pick for Austro's sand stream to kick in. However to re-plug his holes is another story entirely.
Round 2: Austro had proven himself well in battle. But the hippowdon had suffered greatly from second degree burns to the right side of face, thanks to Kushka resulting in scarring. Luckily his goggles saved his eyesight. Joshua had saved the hippo from further injury having stayed and fought off many pokemon as he could. This act has earned Austro some meager respect for his handler but still thinks he's somewhat a pansy but no longer attacks him. Yet he still has limited tolerance towards other humans.
Post r3: Austro has fully recovered from his injuries but his face is still scarred and very tender. So to avoid a similar incident Joshua started out as crafting something to protect Austro's face. But with some help from his younger brother eventually grew into a project to make new pokemon amour for Austro. However Austro can't fully go underground.. with the amour the best is if he submerges up to his head. It's useful wear for when Austro could not go underground in battle and can be used a battering ram or scare the fuck out of everyone else.. yes the horn is blunt. But Austro seems strangely proud of his new look as a result.

Fearn | Sudowoodo | Timid / Sturdy body | Rock Head |Gender: Male
Pokemon bio / personality: Fearn lived a lonely but peaceful life in johto. Where he lived in a nice place own by some strange humans and they fascinate him but was too shy too approach. So much so he actually let himself become caught by the army came when it grew tired of his solitarily existence. Fearn did not expect be thursted into a war. At first Joshua though the sudowoodo was a grass type even the army mistook Fearn as a grass type, so when he asked for one. Fearn was passed over to him. At first it went well..until he tried to water him, he'd suffered one too many sucker punchs to the gut until a friend finally told it was actually a rock type. Thankfully Fearn forgave them for the misconception and often spends time...simply...imitating a tree and watching others. Fearn is lacking some common sense but a good natured mon and definitely a shy one obviously not used to interactions from anyone. But sudowoodo expresses interest and curiosity towards humans but easily frightened around pokemon espically those who are bigger than him. Fearn is still unsure of himself as a fighter among the group. But Fearn can be a very capable fighter if urged to be but if frightened or spooked either he instant 'hardens'.
Riley | Rotom (mow form) | Hasty/ Mischievous | Levitate |Gender: Unknown
Pokemon bio / personality: In sheer honsetly, Joshua has NO IDEA what this pokemon is...it's the second weirdest apokemon he'd ever seen. (The first was a vanilite) Not to mention...INSANE. The latest pokemon in his party. Joshua is sort of scared of this thing and his wild behavior especially being a ghost pokemon. (He's trying to get over his phobia) Josh is still trying to get though with Riley and hopes to find some even ground. If Riley could remotely understand what's going on around him.
Riley was a 'basement' experiment by some crazy scientist who lives with his mother. The rogues had found and rescued Riley before he was sent to the nearest military laboratory after the man's arrest. But the experiments have done a number to the ghost's noggin especially his sense of judgment driven by basically rotom instinct. It took some major work to get Riley functioning again. The rotom still has a mentality and attitude of a misbehaving dog who loves to chew on anything that is either green or moving and shock the fuck out of them. He has no intention of hurting others, simply play with the funny humans in his chaotic little way like all Rotoms love to do. Riley finds his handler funny and tries to 'chase' him and the other rogues on a daily basis.
Riley attacks with SP and inflicts status attacks once down.. he'll swoop in and well.. nom on you like mad. Riley does listens to Josh's order way but too far in between. To him, it seems to be fun to 'him'. However Riley instantly becomes a complete coward if encountered with a larger pokemon or with a type disadvantage, both. Riley stops and runs away like a little dog back to his trainer.
Noraka | Munna | Sassy / Thoroughly cunning | Synchronize |Gender: Female
Pokemon bio / personality:
Noraka is usually a sweetie but she likes to have her own way and be the center of attention like a princess. Noraka is not afraid to say what she wants and can be gutsy at times even to larger oppanents. The little munna has potential to be great. But if angered or upset Nora's powers can become very unpredictable. When she does not have her way, she throws random fits either crying or chucking a 'table' at you're head. Noraka has yet accept Joshua as her handler but admits that he's 'Okay' for a 'dork'.
As one of the offspring pokemon from Jane's pilot project. Noraka was born weak at birth therefore she needed to be hand raised by humans. So Noraka grew up under her human caretaker whom she called "Nana' who diligently took care of her and loved her like a little princess. As a result, Noraka grew somewhat spoiled but happy yet after the latest battle. (*Ahem* Noraka's old handler was killed during the siege. Nora, just understands she was sent to the 'happy' place in the clouds. She's still unhappy about it.). So when they tried to pass Noraka to a new caretaker. But nobody seem to want the munna neither did she until Joshua who felt sorry for her took up off the offer to raise her. Maybe Josh needed a support mon. Joshua feels confident that he can handle Noraka, at least he has reasonable knowledge of her species and yes, he knows she's a dream eater... she eats from his head every now and then.
In battle, Noraka will floats around Joshua's head (or sit on it like Gata used to) as the team's support unit and cast useful moves such as Trick room to slow faster opponents or speed up her own teams or safeguard the team from status effects. Protect is used on herself and Joshua and Psychic.. Joshua is teaching her to use the surroundings as a weapon or stop an enemy's movements in close combat.
