Personality:

Sometimes funny. Sometimes scary. Sometimes surprisingly compassionate. Sometimes a bit of a troll. Overall – just unpredictable and one of a kind. She has a surprisingly strong sense of camaraderie with one of her . . . interesting background, but she doesn't view Kanto as evil; they're just on opposite sides. Authority is usually not a problem for her.

So far.

Backstory:

She has no idea where she was born and can only assume that she was birthed in Castelia City. Nothing is known about her parents. She was found one day on the steps of a church downtown, and the nuns, not having the facilities to care for children dropped off to them, handed her over to adoption services and foster care.

Growing up on the hard streets of Castelia City without a traditional family, Margaret hopped around from foster home to foster home; she was never a 'bad' child, but she was withdrawn from her new families and apathetic. The older she became, the less time one family would take her at a time, and eventually, she was old enough to leave the foster system all together and make her own way in the world, independently.

She quickly went to work in factories to make a meager salary for hard labor; she was highly desired for tough work due to her tall height and her lack of daintiness.

Then in her early twenties, Margaret dabbled in much more interesting work. She first began work as a bouncer (because of her strength she gained while working in the factories), starting at bars and clubs. Managers would first be skeptical of a woman taking such a position, ergo she would usually be on probation until she proved her skill at smiling in a 'come hither' way and throwing out a drunk man onto the streets.

Her work spread to the more interesting streets of Castelia, as she was needing more money for her vices, and she was offered body guard type positions in brothels and strip clubs. Being a woman was a must, but being strong was a plus. She settled down at the gentleman's club La'Belle and worked there for the longest time, up until her enlistment for Johto. Life was good for a long time until the entertainers at La'Belle were leaving for their own reasons (wanting a better career, wanting a family, wanting a better life) and eventually left the city to start new again. This eventually left Margaret with no job. She, too, was getting tired of the same scene; what will be left of her to live on after she is gone?

Soon after, she enrolled in the Johto air force. There is nothing in particular that she has against Kanto, but in her 'hood' area of Castelia City, most were pro-Johto. As for the air force, she wanted to learn how to fly – as simple as that. Her decision was easily made.

IN THE MILITARY

Mag is an interesting character in the air force. While many of her brothers in arms have familial history or a past of liking airplanes during their childhood, Mag had none of that. She had no previous knowledge of how to fly a plane, and actually, she's still not quite as good as several other outstanding Johto soldiers. She is, however, a quick learner and catches onto the machinery fast.

In an airplane, Mag can be quite brash. If given the chance, she might crash her plane into an enemies if it means getting one Red/Rogue out of the sky.

AFTER ROUND 1

Mag has grown much closer to Bisoux after her bad loss to Skybreeze's Skarmory. Bisoux remained in the infirmary under the care of Averys Harpy for a full week after being rushed them immediately after the battle. During this time, Bisoux held a grudge against her trainer, not understanding why she would send her against such a powerful enemy. Meanwhile, Mag was a little resentful of her Pokemon failing so miserably to her captain, but at the same time, she felt guilty and like she failed her Pokemon. . . .

The swing dance was set up and ready to begin one night a week later. Mag was dressed up, all ready to go . . . but she just couldn't. Instead, she stopped by the infirmary to check up on Bisoux and couldn't leave. She stayed there the whole night. Bisoux then realized that Mag did care. The two then became much more of a team.

AFTER ROUND 2

Bisoux and Mag (And Sugar Cube too, I guess. ) go to battle for Unova. During the fight, Mag loses sight of Bisoux, and she does not return. Never having lost anyone dear to her before, Mag was beside herself in despair and rage during the rest of the fight, believing her fluff-ball to be dead. However, after the battle was over, Bisoux found Mag as Johto was sailing back to the camp, this time as a Pidgeotto. Mag had never felt so elated to see her starter. She has never felt ashamed or embarrassed to care for Bisoux ever again, and they have bonded even closer than before.

Pokemon

1. Bisoux ('Kisses') | Pidgeot | Naive | Keen Eye | Female

Voice: Toph (from Avatar: the Last Airbender)
Personality: Overall friendly, but she is wary of bird Pokemon larger than she is.

(Upon entering the war, Margaret has never seen a Pidgey before, being from Unova, so she believed that it could be some super-powerful bird monster. Later, she realized that Pidgey are fairly common, just not from Unova.)

Backstory: Bisoux was certainly never intended to last long in the wild where the strongest survive. Missing her left talon after a brutal fight with a Skarmory, she was weakened in strength but made up for it in gusto (and basically clawing out the eyes of anything it considered to be a threat. Attack now, ask later.). Being caught for the Johto military could be a blessing in disguise for her.

Side note: Names such as Stumpy, Gimp, and Pirate were suggested, but Margaret went with 'Bisoux' (Bee-zoo) on her own. After being blessed with such a cute name, the Pidgey has been slightly adoring of her trainer ever since. She calls her mama.

After fighting Salvador (Skybreeze's Skarmory), her right eye was injured and will not always bear a scar. As for right now, the skin is too sensitive and tight for Bisoux to open that eye, but the eye is still there. As the war proceeds, she will be able to open it more and more.

After evolving into a Pidgeotto at the end of the fight for Unova, she has become more brave and confident in her abilities to protect her 'mama.'

Relationship with Mag Mama:

Bisoux loves her and wants to protect her more than anything. She knows that she is the closest to the human out of the whole party and probably always will be.

Relationship with Sugar Cube:

She is not afraid of him at all anymore now that the food chain has pulled a 180 (even though Bisoux would not ever hunt the Skitty). They've actually used this inverse as a benefit to their friendship and are becoming more like teammates, even siblings.

Relationship with Zhi Zhi:

The two are at a stand-off. Bisoux cannot take Zhi Zhi's electric attacks, but her flying moves are effective against the bug. She resents the monster and defends her mama against it. She recognizes the giant tarantula as a formidable opponent, but one she can defeat if there is no other option available.

FUN FACTS
Gets along with Lorelei (Lulu's) Swanna, Odette
She is larger than most Pidgeotto. Right now, she's about half of Mag's height. Typically with larger birds, the females are larger in size than the males. (Also SPOILER: this way when she evolves into Pidgeot, she'll be large enough to fly.)
Afraid of the other Pokemon? Talk to Bisoux. She's the most sensible of the bunch and has the most qualities to be deemed as the leader among them.

2. Sugar Cube | Skitty | Naughty | Normalize | Male

Voice: Ash (from Fantastic Mr. Fox)
Personality: Sarcastic but smart. He doesn't play up his intelligence from his upbringing often, but it's definitely there.

** Sugar Cube can also be called Sugar. He introduces himself as SC, however. **

Mag was given this little angel for her second Pokemon. SC pretty much loathes everyone. Skitty are well-known and popular for being cute and cuddly, but something wrong happened to this one. Most of the time, he lurks in a corner watching everyone with a scowl; either that or he is stalking some sort of bird Pokemon. Mag is always able to stop him before anything too dreadful happens.

Backstory: Sugar Cube grew up from a litter of five kittens from a beautiful southern bell Delcatty known as Virginia (who speaks in a Georgia (US) accent). Virginia is an infamous contestant for Pokemon contests worldwide, and has a whole room dedicated to her awards and trophies. (It's called her 'salon', which is indeed said with a French accent). Her owner, an middle-aged woman who was quite proud of this success, had Virginia bred for a litter of kittens that could continue on the legacy.

This only partially worked. While the other four, older kittens in the litter would get high marks in cuteness (being very typical kittens of the Skitty species), Sugar Cube had the true talent for the best singer. His attitude in general and his opinion of Pokemon Contests being demeaning and a waste of time ruined all hope that his mother had for him to follow in her pawsteps. (Which Sugar Cube wanted more than anything to NOT happen.)

With his personality never matching this occupation, and after his owner (the spoiled daughter of Virginia's trainer) got tired of his nasty behavior, he was abandoned to the wild. Sugar Cube ran off and managed to bump into the Johto forces, then getting captured and being handed off to Mag.

SC doesn't really need any sporty scarf or brand to be easily recognizable because his frowning face easily lets Mag know that he is hers.

Relationship with Mag:

He holds some resentment against her, especially after <a href="[link]>embarrassing himself in the fight for Unova beyond imagination. However, his feelings for her have improved since first meeting her, but not by much.

Relationship with Bisoux:

Sugar Cube used to prey on the Pidgey, but now that she's evolved, that's just not gonna happen. Because Sugar isn't big enough to hunt her and Bisoux isn't going to hunt him, they've found an excuse to actually get to know one another better instead of playing cat and mouse.

Relationship with Zhi Zhi:

He runs and hides. That's all there is to it.

FUN FACTS
Sugar Cube's REAL name is Eugene. He would never tell anyone this. There is no reason anyone would know this information. But giggle behind the safety of your computer screens.
Sugar's eyes can indeed open. They usually open to slits when he deems it necessary. More rarely, they open all the way, like when he's scared to death.

3. Zhi Zhi | Galvantula | Serious | Compoundeyes | Female

Personality:

"There agelong she had dwelt, an evil thing in spider-form . . . How Shelob came there, flying from ruin, no tale tells, for out of the Dark Years few tales have come. But still sh was there . . . and she served none but herself, drinking the blood of Elves and Men, bloated and grown fat with endless brooding on her feasts . . . for all things were her food. . . . Far and wide her lesser broods, bastards of the miserable mates, her own offspring, that she slew. . . ." (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, "Shelob's Lair")

Well, she must have missed one.

Make no mistake: this monster probably just wants to suck out your innards and dispose of your dried carcass where no one will find you. If you are to see this monster by herself, and you are alone, you are f*cked.

Backstory: Shipped in a wooden box as an exotic disaster waiting to happen from Fuscia City, she was given to the Johto camp; the thought was that her ferociousness would be a great aid for their side. They weren't informed of her uncontrollable urge to devour all, however, and they soon realized that she should not be one to keep. She was one that could not be trained.

Fast-forward to after the battle for Unova. Mag, having survived and proving that she is made of tougher stuff than some of the unluckier others, marched straight up to where the newest entries are trained for combat and demanded a monster tougher than anything she had received before.

She took one look at Zhi Zhi and told them that she'd take her of their hands.

Relationshp with Mag:

Loathes how Mag tries to be her master. Wouldn't think twice about draining her blood. Unfortunately, the bird won't let that happen. Sometimes (she)Man offers her the red juice from food she catches for Zhi Zhi. This only slightly improves the very cataclysmic relationship between them.

Relationship with Bisoux:

Bisoux is too tough for her to catch. Not worth trying to eat.

Relationship with Sugar Cube:

Looks delectable, but hides in too small nooks to catch. Bird and Man seem to forbid harm against this monster.

FUN FACTS
'Zhi Zhi' is a twist off of the Mandarin Chinese word 'zhi zhu,' which means 'spider.'
She really likes spaghetti. No one really understands why just yet, but they are not complaining. The most popular opinions are that the noodles represent entrails and that the sauce must be similar to blood for the spider. (This would make more sense if you saw the silly fetish generator that went around tumblr for a day. No, pasta does not turn her on. But she likes it. A LOT.)
Zhi Zhi can't actually be a spider/tarantula because she only has four legs. THEN WHAT THE HELL IS SHE. DEAR GOD.
