Description
This is a portrait I did of our old dog, Ebony, from a photo of her as a puppy in Colorado. She was a Chow Chow/black Lab (which is apparently called a "Chabrador"? lol). I painted her for my mum as a Christmas present this year.
I'm not 100% happy with this, because I can clearly see all the places where I messed up, but I figured I'd upload it on here anyway.
Also, I should mention that the colors are a fair bit brighter/more vivid than this when you see it in person. Unfortunately, this was the best photo I took of it before wrapping it up!
Painted on a 3" x 3" canvas with acrylic paints.

I like it. It looks very beautiful. Many artist's (including myself sometimes) make the grass appear too bright green and ruin their otherwise good pet portraits with that. Your grass has all the colors in it without being too bright and irritating the eye. Great job!
