Name: Frederico Munroe (Aka Coco)
Occupation: Rich kid -> Arena Warrior -> Army General
Age: 23-27 (over the course of the novel)
Hair: Brown, Cut slightly long and parted in the middle.
Skin: Tanned, his chest is heavily scarred and his right arm has been cut off just below the elbow.
Eyes: Mossy Green.
Height: Tall (180-190cm)
Weight: Muscular but quite light and lean.
Clothing: A pair of sturdy jeans and sneakers are his fighting clothes.
Weapon: Replacing his right arm is an alien weapon which shares some (very few) characteristics with a sword. The blade is about 70cm long and has three sharp edges connected by inwardly curving faces and a pointed tip. Within these faces are long barbed hooks which reach roughly 35cm down the blade before turning back on themselves. It is a "sword" made to cut shallow gashes, impale or hook the enemy closer for a different attack.
Personality: A very gentlemanly man, he is always careful about what others around him are thinking and in the case of his girlfriend always offers prompt, but chaste, support. He displays very little public affection and speaks properly. However when just with his old Arena buddies he is a lot coarser, will joke and tease and swear.
History: Frederico was chosen for Callista at a young age, his parents urged him to court her, and Callista's father insisted that he was a wise choice for inheriting the company with her since he was rather good with the business side of things. He courted her dutifully and was careful to attend to her needs when he could, in his own way he liked her, even though he knew her for what she was. When the Lunar Princess, the first space cruise ship, found itself on the other side of the galaxy and its humans enslaved by aliens the two were separated. He was sent to the Arena with some other humans but he didn't need to use his fencing skills until a misbehaving human was sent to the arena and they were faced against each other. The two men become staunch allies and by the time the war came round the were inseparable. They found Callista changed by the ordeal and Frederico fell in love with her, but in his formal chaste way.

- Frederico was right handed before losing his arm.
- Coco is a nickname given to him by his friend Lucas (Lulu) anyone else calling him that may be in trouble.
