the day I became a new big sister revised

When I woke up at first I was confused, then remembered where I was  - though I really didn't know where I was or if I was even still in California. I was the first to get up. Rose and Lucy got right after me, and I asked them where the heck we were, because as I said before I couldn't see where we were going when Lily was flying me here. They said that we were in the Ozark Mountains - I had basically no idea where that was - then they told me it was in Southern Missouri. I knew it was in America, but I really didn't know how far that was from my old home. So I went on the computer in our room, looked at Google maps and saw that it was really, far away – there's another shocker!

Lucy and Rose asked me if I wanted to see the rest of the base, because I didn't see the whole thing yesterday since it was getting late, I said sure and we went on our way. Our first stop was the pool. There were actually several pools – all of them huge. The swim coach was a Floatzel named Mr. Zoolu. After the pool, we went to the games room - there were loads of games in there! It was incredible – shelves lined the walls, covered in consoles, controllers, and games. We played each other in Pokemon Battle Revolution, and Super Smash Bros Brawl. Rose used her psychic powers to use the controllers, since she had no hands - they both beat me to a pulp. I need to work on my skills there, it seems. Then we headed for the library. The librarian was an Eevee named Ms. Bookgen, yes, you heard me right there. Ms. Bookgen was really nice and she helped me find a book about kirlias - I found out something cool. Kirlias, Ralts, and their evolved forms can talk to each other in their dreams - but only to the ones they are destined to be with and those that are in danger. It's a family sort of thing – sounds pretty cool anyway.

Then our stomachs rumbled. We looked at each other and laughed - that was when Rose and Lucy showed me the dining hall and Ms. Beebody (a Munchlax), and Ms. Thorn (a Roserade) the chefs - lunch was delicious by the way. After that they showed me the gym and the room for battle class -the teacher for that was Mr. Battlera -the name fits, doesn't it? Then they took me to - and this was a big surprise - a dance class. Now, in my old life I was never any good at dancing. Rose said that I could try this when I turn into a full Kirlia. The dance teacher was a Mienshao  named Ms. Bella, who caught sight of us and asked why we were here when we didn't have school until Monday. Lucy replied, saying that I might join her class later on. That made me really nervous – especially when Ms. bella looked straight at me! After an awkward moment, she smiled and said that I was welcome to join when my change was complete. I said that I couldn't wait. As we left, I asked why there were so many floors above us, but from what I could tell the elevator didn't go all the way to the top. Lucy explained to me that that area was for flying types to learn the basics of flying when they first change. Finally, they took me to see where my classes were. It took us a while to get to the school area of the base, but when we finally got there I met all of my teachers. Before we knew it, it was dinner time already. We ate dinner and when dinner was over we talked until we were told it was time to go to bed.

I had a hard time falling asleep when I first got into bed, because I had such an awesome first day and all, but when I eventually did, I had this strange dream. It was almost like the dream I had before I got here, but this one was different. Instead of just watching the two mobs alone, I could hear a cry coming from the other side of the mob of Pokemon. I charged through the mob, trying to get to the other side. It took a long while, but when I finally got there, I saw a little girl. She looked about seven years old. "Why are you crying?" I asked. When she looked up at me at first she looked scared but calmed down pretty quickly. She said "I don't want to see people fight" with a sad face. That's when I noticed that her hair was slowly turning green like mine. "It's okay. Tell me, do you like Pokemon? " I asked. She smiled and said that she loved Pokemon and she really liked Ralts, which made sense. I told her that she was going to be okay, but she needed to tell me where she was, because there were going to be some bad men after her, and I needed to know so that she would safe. She looked up at me and smiled, told me where she was, and then vanished. Just after that, I woke up.

I checked my alarm clock - it was 9:00 in the morning, and everyone was awake. Even my roommates, who from what I could tell would love to sleep in, were getting ready for the day. Rose was the first one to notice that I was awake.
"We're going to breakfast, do you want to come"? she asked me.
"No, I'm fine. I'm going to see Ms.Hearty. I have something to ask her." They hovered at the door, until I told them that it would be quick and I would met them there. They said okay and left. I got ready - though it was hard with my clothes shrinking on me, my hair now completely green and my horns a little bigger since the last time I had checked them. When I was ready I went to Ms. Hearty's office. The door was open - I looked inside and saw the Lopunny working on her computer. I knocked, and she looked up and exclaimed "Oh, hello there Sarah. Do come in...", then turned back to her screen.

"Ms. Hearty!  I have something to tell you - it's urgent." I said as I sat down.

Instantly she turned back to me, and smiled encouragingly. "Oh,  my. What's wrong dear?"

I couldn't help myself – it all came out at once."I know this is going to sound crazy, but you just have to do something! There's a little girl that needs to be saved – now!"

Ms.Hearty's face changed from a happy smile to a serious frown.  "Sarah, Sarah! Calm down, and tell me slowly what happened."

So I told her of the dream I had last night. Her expression didn't change all through the story. When I had finished, she was silent for some time. Then she pressed a button on the intercom and said "Lily, please come to my office."
We sat in silence for what felt like hour, until Lily came in and said "You called me Ms.Hearty – what's up?" Then she saw me and stared - I could practically hear what she was going to say. But before she could say it, Ms.Hearty said "Lily I want you and Max to rescue someone -  Sarah will tell you were they are. Now if you will excuse me, I need to get back to work. Sarah please tell her where to go and please do so on the air strip" – that's what the place where I entered the base with Lily and Max.
"Yes Ms. Hearty" I say as we left. With that, we went to find Max, who had been sleeping for most of the time since I had arrived at the base. When we got to the air strip, I saw a lot of flying types, all waiting to take off. I told Lily and Max where to go and wished them good luck. They took off, leaving me to hope that they would get there in time to save her.

After watching them vanish into the sky, my stomach growled. Laughing to myself, I headed for the dining hall to meet up with Rose and Lucy. When I got there I saw that most of the Pokeumans were still eating. Seeing Rose and Lucy sitting at a table, I went to get some food from Ms. Thorn and sat next to them. We talked about our lives before we turned into Pokeumans. Lucy had lived in Texas and Rose used to live in North Dakota. They said that they had loved their lives as humans, but they liked being Pokeumans as well, and just wished that they could see their families one more time. After breakfast, we went to the game room and played games until the lunch bell rang. Even while we were doing that, I just couldn't stop thinking about that little girl - hoping that she was safe with Max and Lily. The wait was agonizing, but fortunately I didn't have to wait for long - because soon after lunch, Ms. Hearty called me to her office. I walked at first, then I started to sense fear and sadness close by , and I broke into a run. As I got closer to Ms.Hearty's office door, the wave of emotion became stronger and stronger, until it was at a nearly unbearable level. I knocked on the door and waited. Lily was the one to open the door - she had a sad look on her face. The first thing I heard was Ms.Hearty's voice, telling someone to calm down. I entered the office and saw the little girl that had been in my dreams the night before, with green hair just like mine, curled up in a chair facing away from me, crying. Ms. Hearty looked up from the girl, saw me and smiled. I walked to the side of the chair, ignoring the wave of emotions – hoping to comfort the little girl with fear and sadness in her eyes. She looked up and saw me, and stopped crying for a full ten seconds as she recognized me. I crouched down and opened my arms. She ran to me, and sobbed into my shirt "I wanna go home, please take me home, I wanna go home now..."  Ms. Hearty shook her head, and I sighed.
I whispered "It's going to be okay. Everything's going to be just fine. You're safe now, Ms.Hearty will explain everything. You just have to calm down, okay?"

Without saying another word, I felt a power come out of me and into the little girl and she calmed down, amazingly. She told us that her name was Anne, and that she was about seven years old. She asked Ms. Hearty the same questions I asked when I got here, such as "What's going on?", "Why is my hair turning green?" and "Who are you people?". Ms. Hearty answered all her questions and told her the same story she told me. Once Ms. Hearty was done telling the story, Anne sat there in silence, before finally asking for something to drink. Ms. Hearty handed her a glass of water and she drank it slowly. When she finished it she thought for a long time, before finally saying "I... I miss my big sister." When she said that, I realized just how much I missed my own little sister. I looked at Anne, and an idea came to me.
"Anne... if you want to..." I began. Ms. Hearty shot me an encouraging smile. I took a deep breath, and smiled at Anne.
"...I'll be your new big sister" I finished. Anne looked at me hopefully, and her bottom lip trembled. "You... you won't leave me alone, will you?" she asked in a small voice.
"Of course I won't leave you alone!"
"Promise?" she quavered. I nodded firmly.
"Promise." As soon as I said that, Anne ran to me and hugged me. I looked up out of the waist high hug at Ms. Hearty.
"Ms. Hearty, could Anne please stay in room 557 with me?"
"Very well - but show her around please." said Ms. Hearty, handing Anne her schedule.
"Yes Ms. Hearty" I said as we left the room.
I showed Anne the same things Lily showed me on my first day, promising myself that I would show her more of it after school the next day. She really was happy, but no matter what she would not leave my side. Pretty much as soon as I had showed her my room, the dinner bell rang. I took her to the dining hall - there she met Rose and Lucy. She warmed up to them very slowly, mostly because she was, and still is very shy. When dinner was over, we went to our room and looked at Anne's schedule - it was exactly the same as mine. Before we did anything else I noticed that she was touching the horns coming out on her head. Remembering the pink bow that I used to have in my hair, I went and got it for her.
"Here you are. This would look better on you then me." I said, handing her the bow.
"For me? Thanks Sarah!" she said with a smile, putting the bow in her hair.
"You can call me big sis." I told her.
"Okay ,big sis." she smiled, giving me a big hug.
Just then, an Ariados came and told us it was time for bed. We went to our bunks - Anne was below me, and someone had put another bed in so we all had somewhere to sleep. Lucy turned off the lights, and I almost fell asleep – when I suddenly heard crying coming from below me. As Lucy turned the lights back on, I climbed down and asked Anne what was wrong. She said that she was scared and was wondering if she could sleep with me. I said that it would be fine. She climbed up with me and we both fell asleep... after Lucy turned off the lights.
