2012 Triple Crown Events MAIN (updated)

TB Triple Crown has been divided up. Please send registration by NOTES, because the comments are getting way too long and not showing up in the message centre (means  I won't be able to see them after a bit).


Just clearing a couple of questions up, in case anyone else was wondering or confused (it happens to me all the time...)

You do NOT need to have a merited horse to enter here. Merits will play a part in your score, but remember that the system allows for flukes, and your unmerited horse can still do very well- even win.

You do NOT need to have entered 6 monthlies prior to enter here. In fact, entry here can be COUNTED as an entry in a monthly for the WSCC this year- horses who have never run here before but are registered now may enter the TC events ^^ (I know, these are graded, so they should be restricted, right? Well. Ordinarily. I will make an exception here though, because real life races do not equal URA races, so, even though they are GI/GIIs, you DON'T need any entries prior to get in!)




Triple Crown Events are only available for Thoroughbred and Arabian horses this year, because I haven't been able to find accurate information on others. Triple Crowns are hugely prestigious events, usually very selective in who is admitted, requiring prior experience. We won't do all that, but, we will award you with a bit of prestige, and you can say that your horse was one of the few to actually compete in a Triple Crown... and have a REAL show entry and record to back you up!



The Triple Crown Events are a GROUP SHOW this year, which means a couple of things:
---------Entering one of them adds 3 merit points to your horses.
---------Entering all three of them adds 9 merit points to your horses.
---------You MUST be a member, entering with a REGISTERED horse.
---------Merits WILL play a part in your scoring- merited horses WILL do better than non-merited horses, generally speaking.

Entry in a Triple Crown race will be accepted in lieu of entry in a monthly race when the WSCC comes up (remember, you need 6 tickets/proofs of entry into 6 monthly or accepted substitute races  to enter the WSCC this year!).

Registration is open right now, and you may turn in entries at any time BEFORE the due date (we will be going by my timezone, US Eastern.) I will alert you when there are six hours left, three hours left, two hours left, one hour left, and at 8 pm the day before the race is actually won, I will accept NO MORE ENTRIES.

Arabians! Be aware that your first TC event is coming up fast, January 30th! The second is February 18th!

Thoroughbreds have a little more time.

So far, NO ONE has entered the Arab one- if that helps anyone out, if you're the only entrant, you race against ghosts and you win first!



TO ENTER
Registration is REQUIRED, as there are limited spots in each race (only 11 spots, with 6 reserves in case someone doesn't finish an entry or scratches).
Registration is a comment saying your stable name, a link to your stable's home or racing page (NOT your profile), your horse's name, and a link to the reference for the horse.

After that, simply turn in your entry.
You can register by commenting on this journal, and as I update the old ones, I will add your horse.




JUDGING
Following the rules = +/- 10 points
RNG (Merit status taken into account) = 1 to 50 points
Entries into previous races =
URA hosted, sanctioned, or sponsored +3 points
Monthlies = +5 points
Other +1
Placing in a URA hosted, sanctioned, or sponsored +5 points
Placing in a Monthly = +5 points
Placing in an Other race +3 points
Background = +/- 8 points
Story = +1 to 10 points
Training pictures  = +10 points each, BUT must be full body, full tack, and with a rider visible somewhere.
