Description

Apophysis 7x and Photoshop CS5.1

This is a raw fractal rendered with Apo. I tweaked the contrast and colors only slightly in PS and added the text and borders with PS as well.

This is my first critique, so don't judge me!

I really like this art. It's fabulous, it's mysterious and It feels good to the eyes!

When first looking at it you think "WOW". It's like watching a nebula or an Aurora Borealis, mystical and makes you full of life. The light match perfectly with the colours. Can not spot any mistakes in the design. However the name I don't understand. But I shall not let that affect the vision by this.

This is original as well. It looks like something never seen by the known man! However, it is abstract and made by effects with 2 computer programs. It got some well known abstract effects to it and it's a really small minus on originality. But not enough to make it bad of any sort.

On technique it's hard to give a fair critique, I'm known with Photoshop but not with Apo and can therefore not tell whether or not this was hard to make and are used with a fair and practical technique. What I can tell however, is that it has been done with finesse and the contrast and colours done with Photoshop has been well used and mixed with the already made effects to give it a realistic but still abstract look.

To me, this is a masterpiece. It speaks to me and make me feel calm but still awake. I would put it on my wall, but not in the bedroom. It could fit in the living room or in the hallways. Where every visitor could see it and feel its presence.

In overall, a perfect abstract masterpiece. Well done!
