Personality: Beau is known as Beau rather than Belle because her long time rider and short-time co-owner, Pascale, describes her as 'a bit of a man'. Not a very nice man most of the time, either. She is stubborn when ridden, a bully with other horses and often a snotty brat on the ground. She has a beautiful trot with a lovely high action - if you can make her do it, that is. Usually she'll just scuffle along barely picking her feet up. She knows the limits of her bad behaviour though, and with a determined rider she will behave beautifully - but they have to show her who is in charge before she'll do that. The same goes for being on the ground, especially grooming. Pascale says it is a little known secret that Beau actually likes being groomed, because she has a tendency to scuttle away from anyone approaching with a dandy brush in hand. Once you've got her to stop acting like a teenage boy being told to shower, she will stand nicely and even sigh happily while you brush her.
