Electric Eccentric Ch. 1

It was night time at the base I lived in. I looked up at the moon and sighed… I miss my family. I have been like this for 5 years… Oh yeah! I haven't even introduced myself! My name is Adam; I am something called a "Pokéuman" apparently. I didn't know others like me existed until a month ago. We Pokéuman are basically humans with Pokémon DNA that transform into Pokémon naturally sometime in their life. I became a Shinx.  I really had no idea what to think of it, either to be scared, or to be happy.  But my parents though… they were scared, scared that I would be taken away.

Since my parents loved and cared about me so much, they decided the best thing to do would to be to hide me. So they took some stuff down into our basement and decided to lie to keep me safe. They told everyone that I had some kind of brain disorder thing that made me violent when anyone got around me except my parents. I dunno why they believed it, but they did. And I am not going to complain. I quite enjoyed my new life. My parents took real good care of me, even more than when I was human. And my brain aged, but my personality stayed the same. I wasn't able to make any friends, but I loved my parents, and they loved me.  

On my 8th birthday, my parents gave me a Necklace with a green star on it. I had no clue what the necklace was, or what its purpose was. But my parents said it had been passed down from family member to family member on her family's side whenever they became 8 years old. That birthday I got an Ice Cream Birthday Cake. With Chocolate icing! This was by far the best birthday ever! But… you are likely wondering how I got where I am at. Well then, I'll tell you.

It was 3 months after my birthday, err, my 10th birthday anyway, and it seemed like a normal day. But you know it wasn't right? If you didn't know that, now you do! Then people knocked on our door, we thought it was just our neighbors knocking to spend some time with my parents who were their friends. But then… I don't know what happened. It was so fast. Those agent people barged just came through like it was no one's business and came down here to take me. I tried to get away from them, but they backed me into a corner and picked me up. They were firm with their grip, but gentle too. I was so scared then, I tried struggling against the grip, but they had me stuck. My parents were scared to and screaming at them to give me back. But the other agent knock decided them out, but didn't do it painfully, just swiftly. They took me outside of my house, and I saw the night sky… I thought it was so beautiful. It immediately calmed me. I don't know why though… I was awestruck at it. All the stars that were twinkling, I learned to never take the night time sky for granted. As I was looking at the sky, the agent guy gave me something that made me fall asleep. I had a sweet dream during the time I slept

When I awoke, I was in a room on top of a bed. The room was simple: gray walls, plain carpet, a window, a little TV with a DVD player, and the bed had white sheets and a white pillow with a gray blanket. Pretty boring and plain is what I thought of it.  Then one of the two who took me walked in. I started backing up, while I was doing that he started talking to me. "There is no need to fear me. It was the only way." He said.

He pulled off the ring on his finger, and revealed himself to be an Alakazam. "We had to get you before the Pokéxtiction agents got you Adam." He told me.

I was shocked to hear he knew my name, I first thought he had done something bad to get my name. But he told me further. "We have had your data on hand because there you were their target." He said.

I didn't understand what he was talking about though. I had no idea what a "Pokéxtiction" thing was. What in the world was he talking about when he said data? And I was a target? I didn't understand a word he was talking about. But one thing I decided to ask was "Where am I?"

"Oh, you are at the Kansas Pokéuman Base." He replied.

Ok, add another thing I had no idea was. I another thought occurred to me. "Why did you come for me to prevent those guys from getting me?"

"I am from the Pokéuman Rescue Troop from here, also called the PRT." He told me.

Now here we are, they have finally got me to go to school. And they did tell me in simple what this Pokéxtiction thing is. They told me, in simple words, that they are an evil group who wants to brainwash us. And that some guy they call Mr. X leads them. I was also told that the guy who told me about all of this was named Jackson.

Jackson helped me adjust, but it didn't help with me having homesickness.  Jackson told me that this was my room I would be staying in and asked what I wanted the wall colors to be. I answered by saying blue. So he painted the walls blue like I asked. He also brought me some DVDs of cartoons to watch.  He is a nice guy, just not my parents. But he tried to help me feel better, and it's the thought that counts.  

He also explained what Pokéumans were to me. But I already said something about that. I am also getting private classes, I think because I have not been to school ever in my life. My parents only taught me some simple things, like adding, minusing, my ABCs, and how to read.

I woke up and sighed as I got my map of the base along with my schedule and walked to my first class. I knew that I couldn't do anything about it, so I will just deal with it. I may no longer be with my family, but there is hope as long as I am alive, that I will be able to see them and be with them again. So with these thoughts in mind, I walked out my door with the morning sun shining and out of the dorms, as he called them.
