Project Educate: An Interview With EliseEnchanted
EliseEnchanted has one of those galleries that is breath-takingly beautiful. Her work spans several genres and many categories here on deviantART but she is well known for her stunning and colourful macros. I was lucky enough to catch her for an interview some time ago and here are the results…

1) If you could bring one deceased legendary artist back to the current time, who would it be and why them?
I can't really think of one. I think I want to bring them all back alive because I think I could learn from all of them.
2) Who or what inspired you to take on the art form that you focus in?
One day I was walking home from work and I saw this amazing sunset, with beautiful light rays. And I was thinking: if only I could capture this moment to show it to others. That's where I decided I wanted to be in photography. I bought a camera 2 months after that. And never stopped taking pictures.
3) We all have bad days – when we believe that our work is not good enough, what would you suggest is the best way to overcome these and keep creating?
I always take a little break to get inspired by others again. I have times that I have absolutely no inspiration, and I know from experience that no good will come from my camera at that moment. But right after that I usually have a huge burst of inspiration from taking a little break.
4) Do you feel that art is an isolating hobby in itself or not?
No I think absolutely not. Just look at the Deviant ART community. Everyone is talking about ART. Therefore people are bonding and creating friendships.
5) You have been selected to go on all expense paid holiday for three days with historical figures, an artist, a writer and one free choice. Who would you take?
Three days sounds a bit short for a holiday I really don't mind who I take a trip with as long as they are fun. Historical things are not really my strong side. I focus more on the future.
6) What is your biggest challenge personally in creating your work?
Taking sharp pictures. I'm kind of a weird photographer. You will see me hanging upside down for a picture quite often. Therefore my pictures can be very blurry. Also becoming better. I always want to make my work better.
7) What new art techniques have you discovered this year?
I got my 50mm lens this year. I learned a lot about aperture from it. Besides that, it's hard to tell really, I follow a lot of online tutorials etc.
8) When are you most creative and why? Time of day/week/season e.t.c
In the morning. I'm always very productive in the morning because I'm a morning person. And then autumn and spring. Because of the beautiful nature during that time.
9) Are you professionally trained in art – have you been to college or Uni to study it?
Nope, I learned all this I know about photography from experience or online tutorials.
10) Finally, Describe an insecurity you deal with in making art.
Not being good enough.
