Goab, Desert of Colours

Grograman and Bastian from Michael Ende's The Neverending Story. I love the part with Goab, the Desert of Colours and Perilin, the Night Forest.

Goab only exists during the day, when Grograman is alive. Grograman is a colour changing lion, and the master of the desert. Wherever he goes, he brings the desert with him, which is the reason that he has never met anyone: everything around him turns into sand. Bastian is protected by Auryn and thus is unharmed by Grograman's effect on his surroundings. They become friends.
