Vic and the Secret Door Chapter 29
"The Quest for Michele and Tamaki"


"Find that which has been lost…" Dark inquired.

"Well that's just great! Now we have two people to find!" Ed yelled angrily.

"Look on the bright side," Zero muttered "There's no gaping whole in this world and at least now we have a bit of peace and quiet."

Everyone agreed that the group had become significantly quieter without Tamaki there. They were almost glad that he was gone.

"Come on, let's start looking" Vic said.

"There are a few problems with that," Fai pointed out "Firstly, where exactly do we start looking? And secondly, are those two even in the same place?"

Everyone turned to Obito. It was logical that the turn to Obito for the first question because it was his world that they were stuck in.

Obito thought for a moment, thinking of all the places in the world that they could be. More than a hundred places crossed his mind. Finally he said "I honestly don't know. My world is pretty big so they could be anywhere. And as for whether they are together or not, I am also not sure."

Vic sat on a nearby rock. He put his head in his hands. Tears began forming is his eyes again. He began to feel hopeless, as if he would never see Michele again.

"How are we supposed to find her now?" he cried.

Fai sat by Vic, trying to comfort him. "It'll be alright," he said reassuringly "We just have to think this through. You're one of the only ones that know what this place is and without you we can't save Tamaki or Michele."

Fai's words seemed to cut through his veil of sadness. Vic thought for a moment.

'How are we supposed to find them?' Vic asked himself.

"Dark!" Vic exclaimed.

"Yes" Dark replied.

"Fly up there and tell us where the nearest town is." Vic said.

With that Dark flew up into the sky. He looked around. There was nothing but forest to his right and to his left. Then, straight in front of him, he saw a village surrounded by a large wall.

"What do you see?" Vic asked.

"There's a town with a large building with the word 'fire' written on it. It's that way" He said as he pointed to the village.

"That's Konoha!" Obito said "It's the village I come from!"

As Dark flew down he began to make out a small humanoid figure running toward them. "Umm, guys." He said "Someone's running towards us."

As Dark landed, the figure approached them. It was a young boy with white spiky hair and a mask across his face.

"Obito!" The boy yelled.

"Kakashi!" Obito yelled while waving his hands wildly in the air.

"Where have you been?" Kakashi asked "We've been looking all over for you! Who are these strange people?"

"Don't ask." Obito replied "It's a long story."

Then a strange girl came running up.

"Kakashi!" She yelled "Why do you have to run so fast?"

"Rin!" Obito exclaimed.

"Who are all these strange people?" Rin asked.

"It's a long story…" Obito replied.

Rin just shrugged.

"Have you heard?" Rin continued "Two strangers appeared in the middle of town today! They looked suspicious so they were taken in for questioning!"

"Michele and Tamaki!" Vic exclaimed excitedly.

"Huh?" Rin asked totally confused.

"Was one of them a woman with red hair?" Vic asked

"Yeah, why?" Rin replied

"Was the other one a blond teenager?" Vic insisted

"Yeah…" Rin said "But what does that have to do with you?"

"Actually, we're looking for them." Dark said.

"Well now we know where they are." Fai said.

"Let's get going then!" Vic exclaimed.

"You still haven't explained who these people are, Obito." Kakashi insisted.

Obito laughed.

"I'll explain on the way, now let's go already!" He exclaimed.

The group ran toward the city. On the way Obito explained everything about their adventure and introductions were made. When they reached the gates they were greeted by Minato.

"Where have you been Obito? I've been so worried about you." Minato said.

"Sensei," Rin interrupted "Do you know where the two foreigners are being kept?"

"Why do you ask?" Minato inquired.

"It's urgent. We need to know." Vic replied.

"Are these new friends of yours Obito?" Minato asked.

"I'll explain later. For now could you please just answer Rin's question?" Obito replied.

"They're in a room at the Hokage's place" Minato said.

"Thanks, sensei!" Obito exclaimed

With that the group ran off, leaving Minato confused. They ran all the way through the city until they reached the Hokage's place.

"Can we take a break?" Spirit exclaimed "I'm not used to running this much!"

"You can wait outside if you'd like, but I'm going in." Vic said.

"Well then I'll wait here." Spirit said "I won't be much help anyway."

"I'll stay here too." Greece added.

With that the group split in two. Vic, Obito, Rin, Kakashi, Edward, Ikkaku, Fai and Zero went inside while the rest of the group waited outside. They entered the building and went up a flight of stairs. Soon they heard a voice.

"I don't know what you're talking about." The voice said.

"Michele!" Vic cried.

The group ran up the stairs and towards the room where Michele's voice came from. Then they heard a scream, Michele's scream.

"Vic!" She shouted.

As they kicked down the door the scream stopped. What they saw beyond that door was frightening. Two ninja from the cloud village jumped out the window.

"Hey!" Ikkaku shouted to them, but they were already gone.

Michele and Tamaki were chained to a pole. Both of them had been knocked out.

"Michele!" Vic screamed as he ran towards her.

When he got close enough he realized that there was a lock. The password on the lock was nine letters but he had no idea what the password could be.

"Guys," he said "Come look at this."

The group approached him, staring at the lock.

"Does anyone have any idea what the password might be?" Vic asked.

"Nope" They all said in unison.

Vic sat in despair. His dear Michele was chained to a pole and he was helpless to save her. He had failed her. What kind of person was he if he couldn't even save the love of his life? His thoughts were abruptly interrupted by Zero.

"What's this?" Zero said as he picked up what looked like a black ball on the other side of the chain. Everyone stared at him in horror.

"Let me see that." Vic said urgently.

Vic walked to the ball shaped object. It was also chained to the pole.

"It's a bomb!" Vic concluded. "And we've only got seven minutes left!"

"Seven minutes!" Ed yelled "How are we supposed to figure out the password in seven minutes?!?!"

"We should probably tell the others to get out of here." Zero said calmly.

"Right," Vic replied while trying to stay calm. "Rin, Kakashi, Obito, take everyone and get out of here. We'll meet up with you as soon as we figure out the password."

"Right," They said as they ran off.

"Now," Vic said "Only seven minutes to figure out that password..."
