"But Marge, why would you want to leave here and find Sanctuary? Everything we could ever want is here...free Krusty burgers...free donuts...why become a runner?"
"I knew you wouldn't understand."
I've met a lot of people out there that have never heard of the 1976 film "Logan's Run." It might be a big name again someday, as they are supposedly remaking it. I truly believe this film opened the doors for Star Wars, which came along that next spring, and really started the era of big budget science fiction films. I was a 13-year old that had just moved back to Cincinnati from Phoenix, and I really enjoyed the book. I never imagined myself then as a 48 year old doing this cartoon so many years later. Here is the trailer [link]
Fun facts: Most of this film was shot in a shopping mall in Fort Worth, Texas. In the 90's I actually got to see some of the deathmasks and costumes in our Planet Hollywood, which is now gone. And, if you are a fan of Austin Powers, you'll recognize Michael York as Logan.
