Personality: Hailing from England, Gavin speaks with a prominent Liverpuddlian accent that has not been dulled by his time spent in the American South. He is often off-put by the stereotypical romance-novel vampires being the perfect vampire vegetarian boyfriends, and strives to prove that he is a realist who understands that that would never work. He is an individual who is pleasant an amicable to be around, though he always carries an air of formality with him.
Quirks, Habits, etc:
• Gavin has a habit of frequently wearing his Aviators on top of his head when indoors, and over his eyes when out. They help cut out the sun's harsh glare on his hypersensitive eyes.
• He believes that all romantic vampire novelists should really get their heads out of the clouds, because trying to feed off a deer in the woods is about equivalent to trying to eat a loaf of molding bread in terms of taste and cleanliness. Gavin doesn't hesitate to feed off humans when he's peckish, although he tries to be humanitarian about it and make the process as quick and painless as he can.
Hobbies: Memorizing constellations and collecting clothing/staying up to date with current fashion trends
Family: He can't recall due to amnesia
Talents:
• He speaks three different languages fluently (English, Latin, and French) and can imitate almost any accent perfectly
• He is abnormally proficient at playing the piano. More often than not, he can be found in the ballroom playing classical compositions by Mozart or Beethoven
• Gavin is unsure why, but since before he can remember he has been exceptionally talented at fencing, horseback riding, and ballroom dancing
Strengths:
• His strength, senses, and agility are almost five times better than that of the average human
• He can sense a person's mood or feelings simply by being around them. It is almost like reading their aura, and he can easily tell when someone is feeling scared, angered, elated, etc. Certain individuals are immune to this perception, however
• Gavin's blood has particular healing properties, allowing him to recover from injury at an incredible rate. Its speed and effectiveness depends on how long it has been from his last feed. If it is drunk by others, they will attain the same rate of healing until the vampire blood is gone from their system
Weaknesses:
• Sunlight - Gavin can stay outside in sunny conditions with no ill effects with the use of cover (such as under an umbrella, under dark shade, or wearing a coat, pair of gloves, or hat, etc). If he is in direct sun exposure, however, he will slowly begin to lose his strength and coordination as well as develop rapid sunburn, leading to fainting or even death if he is in sunlight for more than a few minutes
• Like most vampires in folklore, Gavin is susceptible to wooden stakes, holy water, and blessed crosses. He is very weak to verbena/vervain when it comes in contact with him, and imbibing it may even prove instantaneously fatal if quantity is great enough. He grows uncomfortable when on holy ground as well, feeling on edge and very jumpy
• Lack of blood can affect him greatly, and the symptoms will range from mild to severe. After four days of not taking any blood he will be irritable and snappish, after five he has trouble controlling himself if blood is visible outside of a living individual, after six he starts losing his self-control and may attack others upon instinctual need if they are bleeding for whatever reason, and after eight days he completely degenerates and behaves like a predator, succumbing to an inhuman nature that causes him to attack and kill without hesitance if he senses weakness.
Goal: To get his memory back
Item: An antique pocket watch - it was the only item on his person when he woke up from being changed, and the only link to his past life
Background: Gavin has trouble recalling exactly what his life was like before he changed, and this fact troubles him more than he likes to let on. The first real memory that he is able to clearly recount is waking up on the docks of Liverpool, cold, alone, in pain and dripping with his own blood. The only item on his person was a pocket watch with the initials "G. Montague" engraved, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not will his memory back.

Inside the pocket watch was a slip of paper with "29°57′53″N 90°4′14″W" scrawled in red ink - Gavin realized that they were coordinates, and decided that it was his best lead for uncovering his past. He has been a resident of New Orleans for many years, but occasionally takes trips back to Liverpool when he's feeling nostalgic. Recently he enrolled himself in BBS to occupy time while he searches for answers on his life as a human.
