Type-10 Energy Projectile Carbine - Chris's Ultimate Armory of Badass

The Type-10, better known as the "Kyrdan Carbine" is a semi-automatic, energy-projectile weapon commonly carried by Kyrdan knights. It has a five-round magazine and fires a 30mm explosive spherical projectile wrapped in a penetrative jacket of superheated, partially-ionized plasma, giving off a bright green glow. This is due to the firing process ablating and vaporizing part of the outer copper shell of the projectile to create the plasma jacket. This plasma jacket greatly increases the round's penetrative power, making up for the low muzzle velocity, and channels the shot's explosive force into the target. Against living targets, the Type-10 is quite lethal...the intense heat of the projectile's plasma jacket can cause severe second, third and in some cases fourth-degree burns (a fourth-degree burn completely burns away all flesh, leaving only bone tissue,) the wound being cauterized immediately upon impact. In addition, the round is highly explosive and upon impact with a target will detonate in a flash of green-white light due to a currently-unknown explosive reaction, releasing even more superheated energy. The greater lethality and stopping power of each round compensates for the small magazine size and slow rate of fire when compared to its Xandu counterpart, the IX4 thermal penetrator gun.

Finally, I hope you enjoy the background, I made it myself by pouring Earl Grey tea on printer paper, drying it in the oven and then crumpling it up, folding it and scanning it. I got a reply from fellow concept artist torvenius telling me to make my own background textures after I asked him where he got his, so I decided to do that!
