Darling Our Love Is True Part 2

Alec POV

Alexander Lightwood stood awestruck. One moment he was battling for his life, the next he was alone. No, not alone. Someone had saved him. There was no mistaking the blue flames that had evaporated the ravenous demon he had so carefully began fighting with what little strength he had left. He inhaled the stifling air deeply, trying to calm his rapidly-exhausting heartbeat.

"Alexander!" Alec turned to the very familiar voice which had called him. His heart began beating rapidly at the sight of Magnus Bane, High Warlock of Brooklyn . His newfound lover, who he had been keeping secret from his family and friends.

"Magnus?"

Magnus looked different from his usual appearance. His black hair, which was usually spiked, colorful and glittery, was not. Not only that, but he was also devoid of any makeup and his normally colorful clothes were replaced with a mundane casual black business suit.

"Alexander, are you okay?" Magnus reached with his left hand and gripped Alec's chin, gently.
Alec blushed a deep red as Magnus searched his dirty face. When Magnus stopped, he looked into Alec's blue eyes with his gold-green slitted eyes.

"I'm fine, Magnus! You received my message, I presume." Magnus released Alec's chin. 'No,' Alec thought to himself, he didn't want Magnus to stop.

"Yeah, I did. Good thing, too! I thought I almost lost you back there."

"Well, you didn't. Thanks for defeating that sinister demon! We'd better get over to the Hall of Accords, where everyone else is probably gathering at." Magnus's eyes saddened at Alec's last comment.

"Yeah," Magnus whispered sadly.

With that Alec turned away from Magnus and began to walk forward. He heard Magnus follow slowly after him. He stopped dead in his tracks, which caused Magnus to walk into him. Reflexively Alec caught his beloved before he could fall.
"Magnus," he said carefully. He had placed his hands on both sides of Magnus's arms, making sure that Magnus stood sturdy. He searched Magnus's face before continuing, he gave Alec an encouraging nod.
