Fluttershy's Tears...

...offend my soul. My broke a little at this part of Hurricane Fluttershy.

What a great episode. The whole "Fluttershy overcomes her inhibitions" thing was starting to feel like a cliche, but as one of my good friends pointed out, this is by far the best execution of the theme yet. Seeing a little bit more of her backstory helped a lot, and this scene really stunned me. It was the first time I ever felt bad for Fluttershy beyond the usual "oh, haha, look at cute little Fluttershy being shy." After seeing her flashbacks I'm convinced she has some kind of PTSD or something.

Also a great Rainbow Dash episode! I have so much more respect for her character now. It was nice to see her step up as an effective leader and coach. She really tempered herself when dealing with Fluttershy and showed genuine concern for her, even above her own goal of breaking Phillydelphia's tornado record.

Oh, and I'd also like to thank GIMP for crashing two and a half hours into this pic. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Ok, I'm better. Thankfully I nabbed a screenshot before it went down and was able to finish it from that, abliet without the aid of layers. I also lost the speedpaint I was recording I think it's noteworthy that, since this was going to be a speedpaint for Youtube, I drew the whole thing without zooming in or out once. Thanks again, GIMP.

About 3.5 hours of work. Kitty and computer issues slowed me down.
