I feel so happy being part of such a wonderful community and I hope to make it better, even if it's only a little bit, by making these articles. A showcase of literature that has motivated & moved me from all genres, from prose, poetry, flash fiction, short stores, etc.

My Winter GirlShe had eyelashes of snow.
I saw her as a winter girl, cold and sharp and sometimes unfeeling,
and she lasted like a tree in a blizzard:
laden down with ice and snow, crippled by the frost in her very bones,
her branches crack and splinter.
Every girl comes crashing down at some point
but she wore brokenness as if it were a cloak, shielding her from other
tragedies that may hunt her down and stab her
heart, leaving her frantically trying to scoop up the blood
and pour it back in.
you can't break someone who's already
                                  broken.

Playing marblesOnce, I´ve ended up in London
The kind we have in our imagination
Full of mists and classic buildings
Buildings which look like castles – as they really are, I saw!
My glasses became dimmed with that fog, that haze
I did make my efforts to clean it, but I couldn´t.
I´ve tried a lot this cleaning, but my stylish glasses
Blue and orange
Keep dimming.
And a childhood memory came to me
Before I was 12-years-old
Glasses I didn´t need to use
And I got to the stationery shop,
One of our school days
Where we buy every kind of stuff
That teacher is always asking us
The little kid as I was,
Got to hurry before the seller
Pushed down the paper display stand
The transparent cellophane falling upon me
So, equipped like that for my arts,
I had no doubts anymore,
Just lacked a sweet sign of nature.
For this reason the bees´ home attracted me
Honeycomb: just that can I see now.
There isn´t nature
Just in forests and mountains
My nature is to be different
In all ways
For Sarah, Forever AgoI worked the midnight shift last night. It was the sort of night where you body feels so heavy that your mind just starts floating away.  I was exhausted, worn. Sleep reached for my heart like a vigilante reaching for a gun, and I couldn't stop thinking of you.
You filled my head with poetry.
I could write something beautiful, that it was a clear night and the stars were out, that the moon shone above me like a love song in the sky. But it wasn't. The clouds were low and heavy and the streetlights painted the sky orange.
It was the kind of night that makes you feel trapped. The kind when there's no one alive but you, no sound but your heartbeat, a wolf howling and a siren in the distance. The kind when I decided that the world isn't big enough for us. The nights that turn into sunrises – the sunrises that break apart the horizon and pull the breath from your lungs.
You know the nights I'm talking about.
The nights when the wind lashed our lips like we were sky-sailing to

:thumb288808680: Cicada Songs and Cinder Beds
      My heart is swollen by cicadas' songs;
A moment filled by agape persists

'It turns pearlescent, almost fantastical at the sight of moonrise'
I am uttering your famous words, beloved
How poetic of you, beloved-
Truly wondrous how you uncover hymns and find limericks even in my grief
It speaks of us in volumes
If only the now barren tears I shed at every slivering of moonbeam
Could shudder the ground they fell upon with their might-
As if clashes of shield and sword
I am quipped with no other battle gear
Maybe then I'd have your attention,
Perhaps then I could wake you, quaver you, and finally seize you out of the dulling mire
Let me unearth your sullen solid symphony
Croon for me and pluck on my heart strings once more
      You a

Over Three Stories and a Complete DiscordanceThe serious intent of a mirror wakes the world. Of the mirror that makes the world we know very little. Just rumors of an open mouth vibrating up and up to the clouds. So the bright grey cracks the dull grey and something, we'll call it the sun, reaches through and grabs us by the skin.
:::
The members of an invisible happiness swim colors between one another. They cannot tell the difference between windows and mirrors, light coming and light going, places where the light has been. They hold the air with both hands and speak with sounds of trees, their language a lifting flock of hallelujahs.
:::
From beneath tongues, mirrors exhume light.
:::
The world is a muddle of mirrors. Reflected from reflection by reflection, we wait. We are intent on getting serious just as soon as vibrating clouds wake the dull grin.
CagedI was the pretty little bird that you trapped in your cage,
the sweet little bird that you kept chained to your stage.
Doomed for a life behind iron bars,
clad with sorrow that tore my wings apart.
Everyday you sat, just inches away,
made me sing every hour, every minute of the day.
My lungs clattered,
broke from these agonizing songs.
Why didn't you notice what you were doing was wrong?
For every time I sang, you set up new locks,
treated me like a doll you kept inside a box.
So I fled, I ran, I wanted to be free,
wanted to be a bird sitting high up on a tree.
The wind blew, the rain raged, there was no hand that feeds.
The world wasn't as blissful as I'd imagined it to be.
So today I flew back, to the place I called home,
to the place that you've built,
that brought warmth to my bones.
But what's this that I heard as I flew along?
A beautiful melody, a mesmerizing tone.
And then, I knew it,
I was already too late,
you were sitting on your couch,
a new bird in your cage.

i guessYou sleep like the dead sleep,
eyes screwed shut like you're not there at all.
You sleep like bones sleep under blood sleeps under skin,
wrapped tight and cut sharp. You sleep, and I
curl the moonlight around your lashes and around my nails.
You sleep, and I lie silently by.
Tick your fingers through your hands, loop them.
Your chin twists up, your eyes flick past mine -
hit me, you scream, your body bent for another blow.
Lay the groundwork with your hands and your voice,
lay me down to rest.
Like the wind, I walk through you. Like the wind, you try to
knock me down, to push me back.
Hit me, you scream.
Hit me.
Give me a foundation, give me a rock to build my home on,
give me a flood to sweep away the old ways, give me
something solid. Something real. Something of my own, to keep.
Hit me.
I wonder what it would feel like to be shot by you.
The quiet ones, the stupid ones, the mice
under the floorboards of the world - you have the best bite.
Like a cornered animal.
I wonder if I could

:squee: Interview: Ricsmond :squee:

=======================================================

Here I will interview an inspirational deviant I have picked or one suggested to me.

:hooray: :iconricsmond: :hooray:

Name/Nickname?

My name is Richard, people call me Rich or Richy. (and some people call me Rick, which isn't my name) :stare:

The story behind your username?

I actually don't know how I got this name. I came up with it way back and I've been sticking to it since then. Though the fact that there is a city which is called Richmond might have to do something with it. :B

Tell us about yourself:

There isn't really much to tell. I'm a shy person (until we get to know each other), who likes to help other people whenever they need it. I'm patient, determined and I don't give up easily on anything.
I enjoy 3D art (The parts I like the most are modeling, rendering and making simulations, though I've been meaning to leap into animation as well.) :dummy:  My secondary form of art are emoticons. :la:

How did you discover deviantART?

I'm not sure about it, I was searching for wallpapers probably and I've found out about this site. Back then I wasn't doing art in any form, so I didn't join at that time. :paranoid:

Specializes In:

I'm a wannabe 3D artist. Under 3D art, I think I have the most experience at modeling and rendering, but I still have a lot to learn.

Your Personal Favorite(s) From Your Gallery:

I don't really have a personal favourite, but if I have to choose with a reason, then it would be this one, because it was made in a short amount of time (1.5 hours from idea to submission) and I'm very satisfied with the outcome. Only part I don't like are the knobs of the drawers.

Favorite Inspirational Deviant:

My favourite inspirational deviant is litecrush. We've had conversations which in some way given me several ideas.

What are your favorite aspects of deviantART?

The community of course, I've found so many friends here and some of them are really close to my heart, yet far away physically. ;n;

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

From all around, but mainly from music and my emotions. Those have a great impact on what I'm working on.

How do you strive to further improve your work?

I'm constantly practicing 3D and exploring different ways of achieving things.

Do you have any advice to fellow aspiring artists?

Don't give up, that is the most important part. 3D can seem confusing in the beginning, it takes a lot of patience to learn it, (several months, or even a year) but once you know the basics, you'll start to get better at it. :la:

Thank you for interviewing me
