Izaga Dex entry: Houndades are never naturally found above the surface of the ground except by the rarest of circumstances, primarily just after evolution.

Preferring habitats of scorching heat and noxious fumes to thrive within, analysis in recent years have discovered tunnels leading deep down toward the planet's core that stretched fifteen kilometers in breadth and width, where Terra Shards are actively found by the hundreds, and as a direct result, where nearly the entire colony of known wild Houndades dwell.

The thick white growth of bone along their bodies has become galvanized by the temperatures and as such is exceptionally dense and resilient to harm. Unfortunately, if the growth is not capped off while relatively young, it is possible to continue to expand until movement becomes impossible.

Efforts to tame wild Houndades have proven nearly impossible, foremost because of the incurable burns they inflict upon anything new, and even those evolved from trainer-raised Houndoom can become irrationally stubborn and strong willed.
