Description

Yeah, my photography sucks. ^^; I need practice.

Okay, this is actually only two different brooches.
The one in the lower right corner is the one that I originally had in this deviation, downloaded from one of the sites that sell these things.
The other three are all pictures of the one I received from the Highland Trading Company, placed on different backgrounds.

The backgrounds are as follows:
Top Left: My purple shirt that I wear to job interviews.
Top Right: The purple (even though it shows as blue) felt insert from the box the brooch was shipped in.
Bottom Left: The green shirt I bought to wear to a bachelorette party a while ago.

The brooch I received looks nice enough, but this serves as evidence that it's better to buy these kinds of things when I can look at them and pick one out myself.
I told the company I prefer blues or greens, but heathergems being what they are, finding a specific set of colors isn't easy.
Pity I didn't have a couple more dollars on me at the Irish Music Festival when I first saw the piece. I liked that color combination. :shrug: Maybe next time.

Now the reason I bought this:
One, I thought it might look nice for when I go into job interviews, although there is some question about whether it looks good with that shirt. ^^;
Two, when I went to the Irish festival and saw this design, my absolute first thought was "My mage would wear that."

And it is with the second reason in mind that I uploaded the deviation.

I put this here for one reason, and one reason only: to provide an easy link to a picture of something similar to the brooch one of my characters wears.

Next step: see if I can find one of these as a necklace.
Or see if it's possible to make a necklace out of it.

If you get the chance go to the actual place where they make them... great choice & you can see a film on how they make them plus see some of the process for real. Worth the trip :D
