Lucy-Be Careful Who Trust

It was a typical sunday morning for Lucy Waithrop as she researched ancient writing she was sent by a local university where she teached when she wasnt globe trotting in search of ruins, unlike alot in her profession Lucy wansnt in it for the money or the fame to her it was all about the excitement of searching for something lost to the world and sharing it but today this would become deadly as she recived a call from a colleague who was off searching for the tomb of Queen Merecle in europe.

"Hello Stacy wh... hey calm down.... what do you mean you found the tomb.... ok ok i got it..... Stacy you still there hello?? that was strange but i guess something better has caught her interest" Lucy mumbled as she looked at the deatils Stacy gave her.

After a minute Lucy worked out the location of the tomb but something kept nagging in the back of her mind why would Stacy give up such a great find so easily, not wasteing time Lucy made a few calls looking for an assistant booked her plane ticket and got her favourate adventuring outfit ready which was when her phone rang again this time it was an unknown number but she assumed it was some eager student wanting to assist her in her adventure.

"Hello.... your calling about the assistant position??...... ok whats your name??.... Candice Adams.... what qualifications do you have??..... ok your perfect meet me at the airport in 5 hours if your late i leave without you" Lucy sighed before she went back to packing and reading up on Stacy's notes she had sent her from her travels.

What Lucy didnt know was Stacy was in far greater trouble than she had ever been before trouble that started and ended with Candice Adams, although Candice looked innocent she was a notorious tomb looter wanted the world over and was known by many different names, Stacy was unfortunate enough to offer to find her the tomb but at the last second changed her mind and her last act before her capture was to tell Lucy where it was and now she lay at Candice's feet bound and gagged terrified of what was about to happen to her.

"You should have just told me where the tomb was Stacy then i wouldnt have had to hurt you, your dear friend Lucy will be next and its all on you" Candice giggled as she began to lash Stacy with a belt until her arm went numb but she had her maid continue while she got packed for her long trip.

Candice was ready to leave and meet Lucy but before she left she gave her maid specific instructions to beat Stacy daily and never unbind her ot she would suffer the same fate, it was a short drive to the airport just long enough for her to come up with a plan on when best to deal with Lucy of which she decided it was best she alllowed her to find the tomb first then seal her inside once she had looted it assumeing no-one would find her for years.

Candice walked through the packed airport looking around for Lucy but with all the poeple it was hard for her to even walk a few feet without stepping on someone, after a few minutes of pushing trough the crowd she finnaly caught site of Lucy at the check-in desk and used all of her strength to get there before she left to board the plane grabbing ahold of her hand.

"Lucy??? its me Candice we talked on the phone earlier about the reseach assistant job" Candice panted while try to sound bubbly as she did earlier but it wasnt easy in her current state.

"Nice to meet you Candice you just made it i was about to leave, i hope you dont always tire this easily we have a long trek ahead of us when we get to our destination" Lucy giggled as she boarded her flight with Candice close behind.

The flight lasted for 9 hours and both Lucy and Candice where exausted but neither wanted to rest instead they set off on there trek, it took a whole day to clear civilisation and enter the vast open mountian ranges where the tomb was hidden and after a short campout they set off into the mountians unsure of what they would find.

Following what Stacy had given her and what she knew herself Lucy navigated the perilous mountian passes and small caves climbing higher into the mountains, Candice began to lose her patients with Lucy assumeing she was lost or on the wrong mountian top but she couldnt say anything or it might arouse suspicion and then she would end up with nothing.

"I hope your not getting tired where almost there just a alittle longer" Lucy giggled in an upbeat tone pointed to an opening in the mountian face.

"Im good i can keep this up all day" Candice panted as she picked up the pace nearly passing Lucy as her greed got the better of her.

As they passed through the large crack in the wall they found themselves on a large shelf like ledge with a an old set of ruins at the end, although they where both tired they couldnt help but rush towards there prize but now that Candice had what she wanted and it was now time to silence her and it was going to be easy as Lucy was celebrating her find.

"We found it, just where Stacy said it would be i cant be.... what are you doing Candice why do you have a gun??" Lucy gasped as Candice approached with a revolver and a few coils of rope.

"Im doing what i came here to do loot this place and live off the riches, your just collateral it should have been your friend Stacy but she backed out at the last second so i had to take care of her" Candice hissed as ordered Lucy to her knee's as she let 1 coil of rope uwind to the ground.

Candice's plan to do away with Lucy was premature as she failed to realise that getting into the tomb required a vast knowledge of ancient text, this was something only Lucy knew and would for the moemnt keep her safe while she thought of a plan to escape her captor.
