"How is that even possible?" Liara asked, something between baffled and intrigued alight in her eyes. Sorcha rolled her eyes, recalling the story.
"According to Ma her friend was at a party- picture the dance floor of lower Afterlife but the size of all of Afterlife- and somebody dared her to drink a whole bottle of 47 Thessia Red by herself so she did...and ended up sleeping with two different guys that night. Apparently she had also just had one of many fluke genetic occurrences we human women have when instead of just releasing one egg per cycle, her body released two...and both of them took. Tests were run and lo and behold, two babies, two Da's, and one pregnancy. She married them both and last I heard they were all still together. Both boys call both fathers "Da" and each of the boys have kids of their own, now. Somehow they all managed to survive the war." Sorcha explained. "Hmm... I wonder if the two-egg things happens to any other race that doesn't have multiples by default..." she mused just loud enough to be heard.
"I seem to remember hearing something about a few other races at some point." she said, then titled her head to the side slightly. "What does this have to do with why you need me, Shepard?" Sorcha bit her lip and looked to her lap, wringing her hands.
"We...want a child, Lili...our child...any way we possibly can..." she stumbled through saying, her eyes fixed on her lap. She tried to continue, but couldn't and glanced at Garrus once again The Turian sighed and placed one of his hands atop his mate's.
"Sorcha wanted..." he started, then paused. "We wanted...to ask if you had ever heard of an Asari having a child with two other parents instead of just one...or if you had an idea of any other way to make it work." Liara looked surprised, then thoughtful, and then determined.
"Glyph. Search all of our records for anything that might be helpful, and have Feron look as well." she instructed the drone. Sorcha's head shot up, her eyes wide in surprise.
"Yes, Dr. T'Soni." Glyph replied, drifting into the room she was staying in to do as it was told. Tears welled up in Sorcha's eyes as she stared at her best friend in shock. Liara stood from the lounger and moved to stand in front of the two, taking Garrus' right and Shepard's left in her own hands, cupping them together.
"If there is a way, my friends, I will find it and make it happen. I promise." she promised. With that Sorcha's carefully built walls crumbled and she pulled the Asari into a tight hug, sobbing into her shoulder. Even Garrus seemed effected, his mandibles fluttering as he cleared his throat quietly before speaking.
"Thank you, Liara. I can't tell you what this means to Sorcha...to both of us. You are a true friend." Garrus said, his voice dipping into the lower registers reserved for his family and closest friends. Apparently she recognized the gesture for what it was because her cheeks tinged a darker blue as she nodded once, smiling softly.

A week passed and no viable way had been found. Rumors had been chased, myths were debunked. Two weeks came and went. Herbal remedies from numerous species were tried, different genetic therapies were experimented with. Everything seemed to point to impossible. Then one day, mid-way through the third week, a Broker Operative from Sur'Kesh reported that she had been in touch with a Salarian geneticist who had actually sought her out. When she read the Operative's report Liara say in stunned silence for a moment before laughing and calling for Sorcha.
"Sorcha! Garrus! Come here, you will want to see this!" Liara called, carrying a data pad out of "her" room. The pair in question came into the room, laughing at the three-fingered, blue paint hand-print on Sorcha's rear.
"Yeah, Lili?" Sorcha asked, shoving Garrus playfully as he laughed, his mandibles spread in a grin.
"I just received a report from an Operative on Sur'Kesh. It seems a geneticist sought her out after someone in STG tipped him off that the Shadow Broker is paying for information regarding Dextro-Amino breeding." she said, pausing for a moment before holding out the data pad. "I believe you will recognize his name." Sorcha took the pad and read it over, tears coming to her eyes as she gasped and brought a hand to her mouth upon reaching the geneticist's name.
"Professor...Solus. Mordin's family?" Garrus asked, squeezing Sorcha's shoulder gently.
"His nephew. It seems that Mordin left him a collection of data files and asked him to complete his work. He told him it was the least he thought he could do to repay you for your friendship." she confirmed.
"That sneaky little..." Sorcha chastised, but smiled affectionately. ""He must have given it to him before he started feeding Wrex information about the Krogan females." She handed the data pad back to Liara, a single tear rolling down her cheek. The Asari nodded, looking over the attached files.
"I am no geneticist, but if two generations of the Solus family say this will work, I think we have found your solution." she said, a smile lighting up her face. Sorcha hugged her tightly, Garrus hugging them both as well after a moment.
"Thank you, Lili. I...just...thank you." she murmured into her friend's shoulder, joyful tears flowing freely, now.
"And thank you, Mordin...wherever you are." Garrus added, stepping back after giving them both a careful squeeze.
"He's with Thane...running those experiments of his on the seashells." she said confidently, pulling back and wiping her eyes with a laugh. "And I et Ash is reading Tennyson to them both." Garrus nodded, smiling.
"I bet you're right." he agreed. "So...how does Solus the younger say this will work?" Liara read over the files for a few minutes before answering.
"I...am not entirely certain to be honest. We may need to..." Liara confessed, but stopped when she heard the sound of a shuttle overhead. The three of them looked at each other for a moment before going outside to investigate. The location of their home was not public knowledge by any means and all of their other friends were busy on their own homes. A rather plain Salarian shuttle was just touching down beside Liara's. When the door opened Sorcha nearly fell over as the occupant stepped out. A young Salarian, the spitting image of her lost friend, smiled at them. "You're Mordin's...?"
"Of course. Had to be me." he interrupted. "He said somebody else might have gotten it wrong." At that Garrus laughed, shaking his head.
"That sounds like Mordin, alright." Garrus said, mandibles twitching in amusement.

No one's POV:
"Quick get ready," Trisha smiled, tying up Hoenheim's black bow tie. He smiled faintly as he stared at Trisha in amazement, she looked amazing! "You hold Ed and I'll hold Al." She handed him Ed and picked up baby Al gently. Hoenheim stared at her confused.
"I thought it would be nice to get a family photo," she explained as she directed him to a white backdrop, "We haven't had one in a while."
"But

I'm a monster." Hoenheim stuttered, holding Ed tightly from under the armpits.
"Don't call yourself that, you're not a monster." Trisha grinned as she posed for the photo. Hoenheim let out a faint smile but it turn

You nodded. “We’ll talk about it when we get our rooms. In the meantime…” your voice trailed off. You wanted to go around the city…with Edward…
Edward noticed your pink-tinted face. “(y/n)?” he asked, with a little hint of slyness in his

Yay! I've been waiting for more of this one as well. Very nicely done. I especially like Mordin's nephew being the one to help. I was hoping to see him in ME3, but well, we know how that turned out.
