Dr. Chandra McNaughton age 32,
is an accomplished research scientist with doctorates in Microbiology and Nanotechnology. She was recently assigned to study an archaeological recovery made by a mining team. Encased within solid rock that had not been disturbed for over three billion years was a humanoid form. Appearing almost completely human, other than odd blue hair pigments and an epidermis impervious to any damage by any tool or device. Taken to a lab in her control the encasing rock was removed and the armored body underneath was revealed. Unable remove the armor the body was placed in a clear container, it stood like a stoic statue in the center of the analysis labs. Unable to gain any samples and all types of scans including X-Rays being blocked, Chandra became completely enthralled by the mystery of this being. Every day she would stand in a trance gazing upon the handsome face, dreaming of what would happen if he were to wake up.
Ensign Kylie Jane Jenkins, a crewwoman serving under Capt Nadine Ivy Braggs aboard the Infinite Absolution Battlecruiser. She mainly works as a mechanic for fighter and transport shuttles, but doubles as assistance for the ships engines and power systems. Kylie grew up aboard an independent Terran freight ship with her father who was the ship's lone mechanic. Every day she would watch him work, on a small old ship a single mechanic was constantly busy. By her early teens she was able repair things almost as well as her father, and when she was eighteen her father claims she has surpassed him, even though she doesn't believe so herself. This was also the age she was when an accident caused her father to be crippled, without enough money to afford the spinal reconstruction surgery, a delicate procedure that is not available for many humans outside the empire. Kylie took over repair duties on the ship to pay for her father's care, accepting any spare job she had the time for and making custom tuned tools and weapons to sell on the side. After a large score she was able to afford the surgery for her father, picking up her father they headed to the world where the procedure would take place. After arriving in system they were attacked by a pirate frigate and disabled. Kylie was trapped in a maintenance chute during the attack repairing critical systems while the ship was boarded. The pirate leader was an anti-Terran and had everyone they found on the ship executed. The rest of her crew including her father were killed and anything valuable gone by the time Kylie had cut her way through the debris. Finding her father dead with the rest she noticed the pirates left a timed bomb behind, with too little time to defuse it she jumped into the escape pod and was ejected before the ship was destroyed. The pirates were able to see the pod and approached to fire upon it when an Imperial fighter squadron and a patrol ship jumped in system. Unable to flee, the pirates' rag tag ship was no match for the empires' high power military craft. The patrol ship recovered Kylie's pod, while she was human she was unregistered and was to be restrained, however 2 pirate corvettes came to avenge their comrades. Utilizing in system blink drives they got the jump on the Imperial forces, being outgunned the young commander of the patrol ship excised superior tactics to defeat the ships. However the patrol ship still took some heavy hits, Kylie was able to break away from the soldier guarding her. With her tool belt still on she was able to seal up breached conduits and reroute systems to keep the ship operational. After the skirmish was over the ship commander came down to thank Kylie personally, introducing herself as Nadine Braggs. The then commander recruited Kylie to join the empire forces saying her skill would save many lives. Kylie's father was against the empire and its actions, but with him dead she saw this as an opportunity to be able to avenge him as the empire was the only faction that made pirates a focused target. After a couple years Kylie is still an Ensign, but is regarded as one of the best mechanics in the military. After her promotion to Captain, Nadine Braggs while going over the recruitment list for her new ship glanced over a report mentioning Kylie. Remembering the girl's actions when they met she pulled some strings and personally requested Kylie be transferred to the Infinite Absolution. Happy to meet Nadine again the two became friends and meet each other regularly on their time off duty. Since Kylie grew up on a ship full of men she has little interest in girly things, preferring a day of target shooting to getting hair or nails done. Having little care for modesty she spends little time in her full uniform and prefers to work with just pants and a supportive bra which she claims only to wear to keep things from getting in the way. She is fairly free willed, doing thing her way rather than by the book. While her repairs may be superior her attitude has been a block to many promotions. Kylie stands by her work and even though doesn't support all the Empire's goals once she starts something she sees it through. Befriending almost anyone who meets her she is an essential part of the crew.
