A sigh was heard as the setting sun painted the world orange and red. It was a soft glow that made everything glow in the suns natural beauty. A man with long, brown hair sat atop one of the world's greatest monuments, the Great Wall of China. He wore a red, silk shirt that clasped at the neck and white pants with black shoes. It was slightly breezy, and music could be heard from Beijing below.
"hey." A voice said from behind him. The man looked to see a girl with almost identical hair and pink attire that made her glow even brighter in the sunlight. The flowers in her hair matched the tone of the sun, blending with the yellow glow around her head, making it look like a halo. He smiled as she sat by him.
"It's been a while aru. How have you been Taiwan?" the man asked. The girl smiled softly at him.
"I've been well. How about you Phī̀ h̄ıỵ China?" She asked. China looked at her.
"Alright I suppose. Not very much has happened here aru." He told her. She nodded and looked down at the huge city of Beijing.
"Another Birthday huh?" She asked. "How many is that now?" She asked. Her older brother looked down at her for a moment, before looking back at the sunset.
"I don't really know aru. I sort of lost count at four thousand." He sighed. She looked at him as he continued. "It's not as good as people think- living on forever." He told her. "You meet people, and watch so much happen. They age around you while you stay healthy and young looking. They die while you live on. It's… hard aru."
"You would know Phī̀ h̄ıỵ" Taiwan said with a small frown. "You and Phī̀ h̄ıy Japan do better than anyone really. I'm only ninety-nine, so I can't even fathom what you must be feeling." She said. "But you know- there are some people that you can talk to about it." She said. China looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Who aru?" He asked. Taiwan smiled at him and silently pointed down the wall. China followed the direction of her finger. "It's time you started enjoying your birthday- like the sunsets Phī̀ h̄ıy, because both only last so long."
China's eyes widened a little as he saw seven figures below, all glowing like little angels from the setting sun. Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, North and South Korea and Hong Kong all stood, waving up at their big brother. China stared for a minute in shock as they all waved and called to him. Taiwan smiled and grabbed his hand and led him down to them.
"Yo hyeongnim!" South Korea shouted, waving his sleeve-covered hands at him. "Happy Birthday!" All of them started to sing. China felt a warm feeling spread through his stomach and chest.
"Hmm… this is the best sunset ever." He said with a smile.

Summary: The purpose of a dream is to fulfill our every fantasies and desires. For what our waking reality denies us, our imagination makes come true. So we ask ourselves: What if?
China, do you ever wonder?
Wonder what?
What it would've been like if you were not China and I was not Russia.
No
. It never crossed my mind.
A bitter smile; a callous laugh. No? Not once? Not even the time when you held me close and kissed me goodbye all those years ago?
What about you? I can't imagine you wanting to be a mere human.
Every so often I do, like right now with you standing in front of me. I want to be reminded of your soft skin

PROMPT: SUNSET
LENGTH: FLASHFIC (max 500 words)
so I did just that. I hope it's not too cheesy, but this is the kind of thing I think of when I see the sunset. The unity of earth and heaven is such a mystery to me how they can be so far apart, but so close at the same time. Just like China and his little brothers and sisters. So here it is! My sunset flashfic! Please Enjoy and tell me what you think!
also I do not own any of Asia. Nor did I draw the pic there- I just messed with the coloring. XD
