Recently, I acquired Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a massive role playing game for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Its successor, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, came out in November. I am absolutely in love with Oblivion; it's a huge game, it has an original storyline, rich environments and cultural backgrounds, and every location is different. It takes place in Cyrodiil, the central heartland province of Tamriel, the continent on which the game is set. Skyrim takes place in the eponymous province north of Cyrodiil, which means that it is a very rugged, icy, Nordic game as opposed to Oblivion's more temperate climate.

In anticipation of obtaining Skyrim, I have decided to feature art pieces that pertain to the rugged, icy tundra and taiga that define Skyrim's setting. Also, since they are fantasy games, fantastic creatures of the cold will be featured here as well, of all mediums. Enjoy!
