Seir Development Quiz

The character I chose for this is Seir Yoku.

Your character is in a stable relationship of some description (if they are not in a relationship in the canon of your story, assume this hypothetically). Your character discovers that their partner has been cheating on them. How does your character react?
-Naturally Seir would be upset, self concious, and a bit confused. However, he would not be overly harsh towards him. (his lover, Miyo). Due to their past, where Seir had been playing around with two people at once (Miyo being one of them), and basically cheated on his ex boyfriend because of that, he wouldn't be able to bring himself to be as angry as he should. He is also aware that Miyo's nature is to be sexual and flirtatious and it would be natural that something like this would be possible to happen. However, Seir is only human and he would be a bit cold towards the other for a bit, but in the end would forgive him.


Does your character hold any religious or otherwise existential beliefs? If so, what inspired them to hold those beliefs? If not, why?
-Seir is open minded to any possibilities of the beyond. He personally narrows down most strongly to a Christianity base, but he isn't black and white with it and is extremely loose. The reason for this being his accepting nature and his personal belief that on the inside, all people are the same and that what you believe in doesn't change anything.



If you asked your character what his/her favorite color is, what would they say? Is there any reason they resonate with that particular color?
-More than likely, the first thing he would think of is the colors he likes to wear most, so he would probably answer with Yellow, Blue, or Pink. He likes soft, yet light colors because they make him feel more energetic and happy.



Does your character have any deep-seated fears? Do these fears motivate how your character acts in his/her day-to-day life?
-Seir doesn't have any phobias neccessarily, but he is concerned every so often about being attractive and entertaining enough to keep his lover within his grasp. He's had a lot of confusion and made a lot of bad choices in his past relating to love and now that he thinks he's finally decided what he really wants, he's afraid that he might not be enough for them anymore, or that they're never going to want him as much as they did in the past.



Does your character have any particular pet peeves or annoyances? If so, is there any particular person, thing or event that caused your character to have this annoyance?
-The most annoying thing to Seir is close minded people who do not forgive or do not look at situations from more than one perspective. The reason for this being that he is the complete opposite and the fact that others can be so unfair and ignorant to others irks him more than anything else.



How does your character feel about his/her appearance? Has any part of their appearance been changed (e.g. tattoos, unusual hair colors, piercings)? If so, why did your character want to make that change?
-Overall, Seir is very happy with his physical appearance and his dress attire. Of course, how I mentioned earlier, he sometimes worries of his lover's opinion. Though, his own personal ideals, he is very satisfied. As he has aged, certain things have changed such as hair length and the amount of makeup he wore on a daily basis for going out. One reason for this being simply that he matured, another being that having longer hair and the makeup and clothes he wore reminded him of when he was reckless and he wanted to get rid of a lot of that. Needless to say, he looks a bit less feminine now in comparison.



What are your character's primary goals/dreams/ambitions? Why does your character want to attain this goal?
-Seir's main goal is to be married and happy with his life, regardless of how much money he has and what job he has. However, a more specific, immediate goal of his is to succeed in college and find a job with his photography. He finds a lot of relaxation and freedom with photography, whether it being recreational or for modeling jobs and if his career was centered around that, it would be ideal.




If your character fails miserably and loses sight of his/her goal (if you answered that your character doesn't have any huge goals/ambitions, assume this is a short-term or small goal), what happens next?
-Seir is extremely optimistic in the end. If he were to have a fallout with his photography, whether it be the inability to find a solid break or destructive criticism from a potential job, he would eventually get back on his feet and keep trying. He is fully willing to work other jobs and do what he needs while he submits photos to countless companies and goes to smaller jobs until he can get a big break.



When making friends or allies, what qualities does your character look for in others?
-Being as friendly and accepting as he is, Seir generally gets along with most kinds of people. He has friends with all kinds lifestyles and hobbies. However, his closest friends are generally similar to him. Someone who is open to almost anything and likes to have fun without drama. (He's had enough of that from a few years back.)



If your character was confronted with the news they are terminally ill with no hope of recovery, how would they react? (Note: If your character is immortal, invulnerable or a minor God/Goddess, assume something happens to end their immortality)
-Of course, he would be shocked and he would be rather upset. Upon being notified, he would hold himself together as best as he could until he was alone and then more than likely, he would break down and cry. He'd be extremely confused as to why it would be happening to him, considering there is no hereditary medical issues and he himself had always been of good health. After a while, though, he would continue living out his life as he would normally. He would stay optimistic and put a joking tone towards it when he could. He would apologize to the few people in his life who needed to hear it most and would make sure to seem strong for his closest friends who would more than likely be devistated by the news.



Time to think from two different perspectives. Part one: If your character was asked what they thought their weaknesses/flaws were, what would they say?
Part two: If you as the creator were asked what you think your character's greatest weaknesses/flaws were, what would you say?
Part three: Are parts one and two congruent (how your character perceives him/herself is the same as what you know as his/her creator)?
-Seir would probably answer that he is a bit of a flirt (innocently now, in the past though, not so much) and sometimes he annoys himself with it. Generally, a lot of his possible responces would be said with the rememberance of his past when he was a lot less mature and more oblivious to his actions in comparison to how he is currently.
-My own personal opinion of Seir's flaws are that yes, he is flirtatious. Though as I said, he has toned it down quite a bit from where it used to be and now he only does it subtley and with completely innocent intentions. Another one of his faults is that he sometimes is unintentionally inconsiderate with his usage of wealth. Often he doesn't realize that he can sometimes offend others by "out-doing" them with gifts, etc. However, he is getting better with it.
-My opinions and his are fairly similar. Usually Seir is aware of the things he does and tries his best to correct them in the situations as they arise.
