Name: Conway Ethridge
Age: 17
Height: 5'8"/172cm
Weight: 198lbs/89.8kg
District: 7
Health Issues: None
Body Type: Stocky. A bit on the shorter side but made of mostly muscle.
Hair Colour: Auburn. More on the Red side.
Eye Colour: Blue-Green
Strength(s)
Natural: Pure physical strength.
District Learned: Familiarity with outdoor tools, some of which can be used as weaponry. Also knowledgeable about forests and survival in the forest as that is where his District is located.
Hunger Games Training:
Vulnerability/ies: He's not very fast on his feet and he's also a more close range combat type, those that attack from a distance, say with a bow, would be a big weakness for him. He tends to act first and ask questions later, doesn't really think before he does things.
Background: In District 7 all children begin work early on in their lives. Pretty much at any point where they are deemed strong enough to be useful. Conway started working around age 10 where he met his best friend Rowan. They became quick friends and have been very close ever since. But even before then Conway was still helping his parents around the house, running errands in town, buying groceries, cleaning, cooking what he could. He grew up fast so his parents wouldn't have the added burden of trying to look after him on top of long hard hours at work. Despite the hardships they were still a very close knit family. Conway was 15 when his mother was killed in an accident. In logging terminology stray branches or pieces of the tree that fall from the canopy impaling or crushing the unsuspecting below are called widowmakers, aptly named as they more often than not kill and make widows/widowers. Marigold was killed by a falling branch and Conway's father never fully recovered from losing the love of his life. He seemed to be on autopilot and never really spoke to his son much after that, not really knowing what to say. Conway suspects that he probably blamed himself for their mother's death but he really misses his dad. He at least has Rowan there
Family: Mother, Marigold [Deceased]. Father, Reed. His Best Friend, Rowan.
Significant other: He has someone, but he probably won't give much information regarding the subject.
Personality: Abrasive. Headstrong. Impulsive. Stubborn. Arrogant. Bit of a temper. Extremely untrusting, though who could blame him? With friends and family he's still everything mentioned previously, sans the untrusting part. He finds comfort in familiarity. He doesn't particularly like being alone, but he wouldn't consider allying with anyone, fearing of letting his guard down and getting a knife in the back. He'd prefer that if he died in the games it would be face to face in a fight rather than his throat slit while he slept. But if someone went out of their way to do something to help him, he might warm up to them and consider them an ally.
Goals: "I plan to win the games of course. I will make my district proud. I will win the games in memory of my mother and make my father proud of me. And Rowan, if you're listening, I'll be back home again. Just like I promised you I would..."
