Nephilim Seeds: Abaddon

i've been thinking of a story called "Nephilim Seeds", which will hopefully turn into a comic one day...
but for now, i'm juz doing some character designs first.

The story revolves around some weapons that are the size of necklace pendants (not shown in the picture) called the Nephilim Seeds, which are densely packed with nano robots that can combine with a human host, turning them into armoured cyborg warriors with superhuman combat skills and high tech weapons.
i named them Nephilim Seeds cos if i'm not misinformed, nephilims are sort of like half demons, so in this character design series, all of them will have the names of demons and fallen angels.

this character, code-named Abaddon, would be the first of my character design series. according to the Book of Revelations, Abaddon is the angel of destruction that will release a horde of locusts on the day of the apocalypse. Thus, being something like an overlord of locusts, his helmet design is based on a locust head (there are 2 orbs on his temples that are shaped like the locust eyes, and he also has somethings that look like locust jaws at his chin. i decided not to add the feelers cos i didn't know how to do so without making him look too stupid, lol...). this is somewhat a more sci-fi styled interpretation of the demon Abaddon. if u're looking for a classical demon, u can see one of my recent works [link].

the weapon that he is holding is called the Spear of Pestilence. it is a staff made up of various sections like, from top to bottom: the plasma blade, the handle, and the metal blade, all linked by a controlled stream of plasma which is emitted from the coned-shaped nano plasma generators that can be found on the connecting ends of each section. flanking the plasma linkage are some tiny blades which can be shot out individually like ninja stars, or all at once like a locust swarm, thus giving it the characteristics of Pestilence. since it is linked by a plasma stream and not solid material, this makes the weapon more flexible and deadly as the plasma stream can curve and extend without the need to thrust the spear forward. thus, this requires the need of a handle section (there are 2 handles for each hand, juz that i only showed one, sorry.)

this was first sketched in pencil, outlined in black ball point pen, scanned into computer and coloured in photoshop with my trusty 10 year old Wacom tablet, lol. the lines were very rough and hairy when i first scanned in, so i wasted a hell lot of time smoothening out the lines in photoshop... yar, i know, i shld have juz drawn in photoshop, but i'm not used to it, esp when my tablet's active area is smaller than my hand, lol...

btw, i won't argue with anyone abt the practicality or functionality of the weapon, but i appreciate any honest comments, so feel free to tell me what you think of it, thx
