Happy Naps Are Here Again

So before Lilly was allowed to give the story of this photo she was kindly asked to answer a few questions as posted below.

Reason for Bidding: That could almost be a silly question, but I know in all honesty it's an important one to the owner of this filly to see why people take interest in bidding. I call it silly, not to seem rude, but because many people will bid simply because it's a Holly foal. I mean, who doesn't want a foal with bloodlines like that in their stable? Everyone does and that is what draws people in to look at this mare. That was the only reason I called it silly. I too have looked at this mare because of her blood line, but also because she's an eye catcher. She would defiantly stick out at our barn, and in the show ring. That is something I found interesting to see but the big thing I guess is because of her bloodlines, and I want good stock to build the backbone of my stable with.

The Plans for the Filly: Oh the plans would be high up there just like any of the other horses we have. Of course our horses that have a more famous pedigree such as out Dutchess colt, and are Vice foal, we push them a bit harder to reach that Best of Best status, and one day we would hope to have a few Hall of Famers among our brood. But, the goal is only reached once they start to show, and for that to happen you have to know what she would show in. Now here at BMP we specialize in Reining horses and some speed events. She would trained in the basics of head carrying, hte speeds and all that stuff. Then we would hone in on the skills she would do best in. Her breeding says speed right off the bat so we will look at major speed events like barrels, poles. But also cow work. We done lots of breeding for that, and though we haven't shown it yet, we have the bloodlines for that here as well, and she would be trained just the same to those disciplines as well.

Anything Else?: I had mentioned earlier that we do have some very nice linage in out stables already. We have a colt out of the famous Dutchess With Diamonds. We have a reserved spot to Miami Vice. Our mare Chick, a Wild Thang and Dixie Chick foal, is already climbing her way towards BoB title. We have such rich blood here, we would want to make it even more special by adding in a Holly foal, and we think this mare will do it just right for us. Not to mention the guys are out numbering the girls so we need some more girl power! Other than this we have no more comments unless you have any more questions. Thank you.

Thursday

Two months ago, a post was put up in an ad book about an upcoming Hollywood Tramp foal that would be sold. Today, the world got it's first glimpse of a small blue roan filly. Oh how I told Steve that the filly was a must for our operation. He seemed a bit unsure but I showed him the cute little photo of the mare as she looked at the camera like she had just awoken. He was delighted and agreed, she would make a fine addition to the show string.

I have kept tabs on her everyday, looking for updates on her. She's growing so quickly, and oh the energy she has! It makes me laugh just watching the update videos of her, her mother, and twin sister run around a lush paddock. Lou, the nickname her current owner has given her, picks at her sister. teases her to the point a small scuffle breaks out and Holly has to break it apart. Though in the end their both fine and off playing again.

She looked like a great prospect and I will be keeping a journal of her up until the actual sale goes. I look forward to going to this auction and having a chance to buy in on some history. I will update this as it goes.

This filly belongs to *painted-cowgirl and is being sold in an auction. We are hoping so much to be blessed to get her and this is only one of many bids we will be placing!
