Some monster concepts for
These are all concepts for the Daylight area's monsters and are all based off of existing monsters from myths and fairy-tales from North America.
1. Shadow Beings - these creatures stalk the darkness of deep caves and crevasses. In the darkness, the only visible feature of this monster is its heart, which glow like a beacon in the darkness, hypnotizing and luring in anyone foolish enough to look at its light directly.
2. Screaming Banshee - creatures that haunt swamps and jungles. said to be an omen of death for those who hear her screams. Those foolish enough to look for the source of the sound are never seen again.
3. Amarok - wolf-like beasts that hunt in packs and prey on human flesh. It is said that the spirits of these mighty bests can posses the men who kill them. Those who have been possessed by Amarok will turn upon their own comrades, killing them and feasting upon the flesh of their slain bretheren.
4. Cactus Cat - large feline covered in armored spikes (think long the lines of indestructible porcupines) with large tails that can crush and bash their prey. One hit from this fenline's tail and it's over - not to mention that these creatures are extremely fast and agile.
6. Thunderbird - When one hears the crack of thunder on a cloudless day, it may just be the Thunderbird taking flight. This bird is so large, that every beat of it's wings releases the sound of thunder and sends storm-like gales blowing across the lands. Though these birds are few in number, their sheer size and ability to fly make these monsters a force to be reckoned with .
