Alien?

I just want to start out by saying this is a really cool image! You caught the bird at the perfect moment and the framing makes this image. However the over all quality of the photo could be improved a bit. This image is a little blurry and noisy (a critique i make a lot because it is a really common mistake). This is especially noticeable towards the top of the birds head. Also the image is rather bright. The birds eyes are really interesting and the light works well here, but your immediately drawn away from the bird's eyes (a natural point of focus.) It looks as though you used flash, and if that is true, try instead to up the Iso's or the aperture and/lower the shutter speed in order to capture a brighter image as oppose to using flash.
