i mucked around with a few other pen colours (green, sepia) on this page. the true test will be how it looks when the colours are on. if it looks aweful, i'll go back to a uniform background colour with slight accents (probably blue) for various scenes.

i also tried to do a gradiant in the background but my markers kept picking up old trace ink on the ruler no matter how many times i cleaned it and smearing them. so blegh, no clean gradiant. and now a lot of wrecked grey markers. lovely.
