Wow! Can you believe that in a few weeks Queer as Folk-Liberty Ave. will be a year old already? We are so excited about all the great stuff that's been happening here recently.. As you know, we recently hit the 1000 member landmark, but we have also been getting some exciting new art and have seen more people participating in our blogs too.. It was our hope from the beginning to create the best and biggest QaF community on dA, and with your help, we have done it.. Even though we have a lot of members, we really feel like this is a welcoming friendly group.. Thanks to all of you for making it that way..

To commemorate our one year birthday, we are holding a 'Design a Logo' contest.. As some of you know, we have been wanting our own logo for quite some time, but it never felt like the right time.. until now..

DESIGN A LOGO:

-Must include the group name
-All artwork must be QaF related
-Has to be an original piece made solely for this contest (submitted after 6/22/12)
-Participants must be members

Prizes:

1st place

The winning logo will be used on our profile and possibly the group avatar, so it is potentially great exposure for the artist.

The official launch date will be July10th (contest folder will open then) and all submissions will be due by August 10th. Winners will be decided by a group poll.

In other big news, gillianivyart, the person that designed our gallery background, earned a DD for it on 6/22/12. She did such a great job for us and we'd like to congratulate her on behalf of the group. Congratulations, Gillian!!
