Nazo Soushou is the jounin sensei attached to Team 3 of Omoichidou Village.

Quiet and skilled at blending in, Soushou specializes in recon and intelligence gathering. Soushou has the unnerving habit of sneaking up on people and appearing behind them when unexpected. It is rumored she may have been Omoichidou ANBU at one time.

Above all, Soushou sees herself as an artist and a relatively private individual, who chooses what to share.

Soushou will joke and play friendly in the company of peers and superiors or simply remain quiet. For that reason, as well as her relatively short height, she is often underestimated. But her pleasant and polite veneer conceals a hidden core of strength and shrewdness, combined with a rather good talent for reading people's faces and body language.

DRAW YOURSELF AS A NINJA OF YOUR VILLAGE - aka the warmup

My village is and I'm the leader of Team 3.

Some of you may remember I've used the name Nazo Soushou before, for that self-as-Zanpakutou thing. WELP, I'm reusing it because it's Self-As-Ninja and Nazo Soushou is pretty much my dA name.

Again, keeping with the artist theme, I stole Sai's skillset. As such, water seemed appropriate as a primary elemental affiliation. Fire got my second because a jounin is supposed to have mastered two and I'm a person of contrasting extremes.

This wasn't quite the drawing I intended to do when I set out. I'd actually inked this really cool image of me doing some spiderman-ninja-wall-crawling and making graffiti come to life, but there was a huge family emergency and I just didn't have the time or energy after getting back from the hospital to color a huge piece with a detailed background (I'll put the lineart up so you can see). Instead, I went back to my costume concept sketches and refined them into this, which, as you can probably see, has a heavy Young Justice influence (my latest fandom of lurk).

HeartShrineVillage has decided to remain open after the NaruFest, so this jounin will definitely be hanging around.

The most hilarious bit about Nazo Soushou is that I provided only the information above for her character and that she has the nickname "Ink Ghost".  Her stats were never given, but it was always explicitly clear that she was powerful and skilled.  From there, I sat back and watched as the view of her developed from an outside perspective.

Today, she remains statless (a good, flexible thing for a DM/administrator class player), is one of the Assassin Squad Leaders, and is ranked as a Top Tier Jounin.  It's very possible she might be former ANBU, but it's also very possible that she was either in the Intelligence or Infiltration paths.  That remains a mystery to the players.
