Presumed Dead--- Just Another Day, aka "Chapter 16"

"C'mon, Black!  You're guarding like a girl!"  Fuu-Ki was teasing his student as the latter was practicing with his rapier.
"Dammit, man!  You tell me I have to deflect every attack with the weapon!" the fifteen-year-old boy replied with a quick snarl.
"Not every attack, I presume," Vakama was practicing complicated gymnastics movements with his scythe in his right hand; his sensei had told him that wielding a scythe was one of the worst things to do in any and all fights.  Nonetheless, the Original Ninja had decided to let him practice with it, since he had learned all the tricks possible and improvisable in all the millennia he had so far lived, but with the condition that Vakama would be grateful for all of the teachings, no matter what everyone else would say.  "Say, Fuu-Ki-shishou!  Can I actually slide on top o' the scythe?"
"Well, 'Kama-kun," the teacher answered with half a smile, "if you manage to balance it without chopping your feet in half, tell me and I'll tell you it IS possible!  All right, kids, recess time!"

Klaus, Ness, Bronze, Gray, Humbert, and Vakama all put their weapons down and, with sighs of exhaustion, sat down on the bench on the far side of the classroom.  Gray noticed a couple of bloody silver axes in a glass case and asked the Original Ninja about how he had acquired them.
"Ah, those?  They belonged to the late Abe Lincoln… May he rest in peace…" Fuu-Ki answered with a silent bow aimed at the axes.
"Wait, you mean THE Abe Lincoln?!" Vakama was amazed at the fact that his sensei had met the old President.  "How'd you meet 'im?"
"He was a vampire hunter in search for vengeance, power and whatnot…  So I taught him how to effectively use axe-guns and how to REALLY kill vampires…"
"So, Klaus," Humbert addressed his younger twin, "how're things going between you and Aaannaaaa?"  He emphasized the last word like a six-year-old teasing his older brother.
"I keep telling you, there's NOTHING between Anna and me!" Klaus was annoyed at the question since White had started to ask it two weeks ago.  "We're just friends–!"
"With benefits?" Ness interrupted, teasing the messy-haired twin.  "C'mon, Klaus!  The whole school knows about you and Anna!"
"It's not official yet, though…" Vakama remarked, laughing at his older brother, whose face was red in both embarrassment and in rage.  "Klaus never liked going official with anyone, anyways…"
"Kids!  No teasing the most powerful guy in the class!" Fuu-Ki's voice came from his kitchen as he prepared lunch.
"Hey, I thought I was the most powerful guy in class!!" Bronze protested.
"You're the STRONGEST, as in physical strength," the Original Ninja clarified.  "Klaus is POWERFUL, as in he has speed, smarts, and strength!"
"I'm the smartest guy here!!" Vakama objected.
"And I thought I was Klaus's EQUAL!!!" Humbert joined the strike.
"And I'm," intervened Klaus, "outta here!"  He then stood up, picked his weapons up, and left the dojo, being gentle enough to slam the door as he left.
"You guys are so nice with each other!  I thought you guys got along!" Gray exclaimed with a sad expression in her usually happy face.
A second later, Fuu-Ki came back and, noticing Klaus had left, scolded his remaining students.  He then remembered, "…and someone'll have to tell Klaus his stealth test is next week…"
"Five bucks he'll fail it again," Black gambled with Bronze, who bet ten dollars to the opposite event happening.

-------------------------------------------------

Klaus, annoyed at his friends' constant nagging, was walking quickly around the city.  He stopped for a minute when he passed in front of White's apartment complex, wondering what she'd be doing right now.  He decided to fly into her balcony to have a nice visit and to have a friendly chat with her.  When he entered the balcony he screamed and turned around quickly.
"Klaus, you pervert!" Snow was screaming, too.
"I'm sorry!  I didn't know you were taking a shower right now!" Klaus tried to apologize.
"WHITE, DON'T GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM!!" Snow called her older sister.  "KLAUS IS BEING A PERV!!"
"HE WHAT?!" White's voice came from her bathroom, and Klaus noticed the sound of running water.  "KLAUS!!  CAN'T YOU KNOCK?!"
"I said I was sorry!" Klaus repeated himself.  "B-but, White, can't we talk?"

There was a long, awkward pause – interrupted only by Snow entering her bedroom in a rush, obviously to put some clothes on – until White exited the bathroom and, wearing only a towel, walked over to Klaus and slapped him in the cheek.  The boy's only reply to that was, "I think I deserved that…"
"Yes, you did," White frowned at him.  "You, of course, don't mind my wearing only a towel, right?"
"Just a bit…" Klaus smiled at his friend.  "How… how ya doin'?"
"Better now, thanks," White sat in her couch and crossed her legs.  "How's your brother?"
"Which one?" Klaus joked, knowing she was referring to Humbert.  "He's okay, thanks to Clarissa being gone for good.  You?"
"Happier, now that you've told me the good news…  Are you here to talk to me about Anna?"
"Jeez, you saw right through me!" Klaus smiled shyly as he cleaned his glasses and put them on.

White and Klaus were talking about the witch; Klaus was defending her, while White was questioning her.  They were momentarily interrupted by Snow, who was apparently going on a date with Slade.  After she left, White relaxed a bit more and loosened her towel a bit.
"Uh, White… I'd appreciate it if you could… cover up a bit more…" Klaus averted his eyes from his brother's crush, sweating in embarrassment.  "We're talking about Anna…"
"What you did to me on your birthday was unforgivable, Klaus…" said White austerely.  "I think it's payback time…"
"Dammit, Silver's around here, somewhere…" Klaus muttered as White was uncovering her sensual body and started walking toward him.  He noticed her midnight eyes had turned into a shiny shade of cyan, the exact same tone Silver the (Ex) Hedgehog's eyes change into whenever he's using his psychic powers.  "White, look at me!" he shouted as she had started to rub against him.  "I said, LOOK AT ME!" he repeated as he slapped her.
"OW!!" Silver screamed from the kitchen, apparently.  "How'd you know that it'd hurt me, instead?"
"Didn't you watch X-Men: First Class?" answered Klaus as he held a naked and confused White, who slapped him hard when she realized what had just happened.  Klaus had to defend himself, "Hey!  If you're gonna hit someone, hit Silver!!  He's the one who mind-controlled you into my arms!"
"Just a second, Klaus," White snapped as she covered her body with her towel and, grabbing a frying pan, hit Silver in the head with a loud "PANNG!!!"
Someone knocked on the door, and White yelped in surprise.  Humbert's voice announced that he was looking for his younger twin, and was wondering if he was was inside.
"No, he's not here!  Wouldn't he be with Anna?" White lied.
"I dunno, but I'll check!" said Humbert in a curious tone.  "Can I come in?"

White hurriedly kissed Klaus (taking the latter by surprise again) and shoved him out her balcony, and then she rushed to clothe herself.  She grabbed a groaning Silver by the hair and shoved him out the window, too.  After making sure there was no one left in her apartment, she let Humbert in.  Humbert, who had heard all of the commotion inside, laughed when White hugged him – an excuse for her to inspect her place for the last time – and hugged the girl back.  White was happy to see Humbert was single again, so far, and started talking to him about all the schoolwork they had due.  Humbert took advantage of his opportunity and started to hit on her.  Again.

-------------------------------------------------------

Klaus laughed when he saw White shoving Silver out the window.  The anime-haired psychic boy saved himself from an otherwise painful fall by using his telekinesis.  Silver smiled at Klaus and said, "Well?  Did ya like it?"
"Mmm… Sort of," Klaus answered with a wry smile.  "But you know the future… and what we're thinking, more or less…"
"Yeah," Silver answered, "more or less…"
Klaus looked at his companion and asked, "Do you know if…?"
"If you're gonna end up with either of those beauties, Anna and White?" Silver completed.  "Can't tell…  It is your choice…"

-------------------------------------------------------

Vakama was exhausted from all that training he had had that day, but still had enough energy to walk all the way home.  He still had to finish that essay for History class, and the next Biology exam was four days from now, but he was already done with both of his problems; the essay was a piece of cake, and Violet had given him some tutoring for the exam.  He was concentrating on his own affairs when Anna dashed past him.  Wondering what the problem might've been, he took his scythe out and closely followed the girl.  As he looked over her shoulder to try and see ahead, he noticed two shadows running in front of her, laughing maniacally while they did so.
"Come back!" Anna called the other figures.  "I won't let you harm Klaus!"
"Oh, Anna Camellia," one of the silhouettes said with a girl's voice, "you're too naïve!  We're not gonna harm him!  RIBBIT!"
"Why do you always wanna destroy any and all of my relationships, Eruka?" Anna addressed the one who had croaked.  "Because of you, I barely have a personal life!"
"Hey, Anna," Klaus greeted half a second before she crashed into him.  From underneath her, he said, "What's the rush?"
"Oh, so this is Klaus?" the other witch looked curiously at the messy-haired fifteen-year-old boy.  "Hey, cutie!  Is it true you like Anna?"
"What's this about?" Klaus looked into Anna's aqua eyes.  "Did you do somethin'?"
Anna stood up, prepared to fight against both witches.  She looked back at Klaus and said, "I did nuttin', but these witches have been stalkin' me ever since my reign in the Witches' Realm ended!"
"You were a queen?" Klaus smiled at Anna.
"And still is!  RIBBIT!" the witch named Eruka clarified.

Vakama analyzed the situation he was about to enter into and deducted that he wasn't ready to jump in, given how his training was almost only seven months old.  But, before he left the witches to his older brother and his "unofficial" girlfriend, he noticed Anna's left eye had turned red, and her right one had turned black…  Yeah, things were about to get ugly…

To Be Continued

This chapter is a revelation... or maybe a nightmare.

Klaus and White, just like in a previous chapter, have another moment together... but they DON'T like each other, I'd say...

I like how everyone's teasing Klaus about his relationship with Anna, but I think it's a bit mean to him as well... Ah, what the heck... Chapter 17 might not be the continuity of this one, but I'm the author, so I decide :XD:
