Rose Art Colored Pencils (24 count box) on computer paper

This is part of a little experiment of mine. I happened to find a box of colored pencils while in the pursuit of some other art supplies. Normally I'd use my Prismacolors for this, but I was curious to see who added more to my pictures, the pencils or me, and there's only one way to find out.

Now, to put this in cost perspective:
Apparently this box of pencils, all 24 of them cost me $1.47 (American, the sticker was still on the box) and my individually purchased Prismas were $1.69 (American, again stickers still on them), and sometimes I get lucky and can expand when they go on sale for 50% off.

In summary, the pencils I used for this, I had gotten 24 colors for the price of 2 of my special colored pencils.

So, those of you who made it this far. What do you think? Are those expensive pencils making up for my lack of talent? Or should I do the same pic again in the Prismas to see narrow down the variables?

Not that I'd give them up anytime soon, I love the way they go down, the depth and richness of color, and the blendability. These things were so fussy and didn't want to blend. Ugh. But still, might be nice to be able to use the cheaper ones from time to time (I would so upgrade to Crayola though (no clue why I had Rose Arts, at all), and it would be nice to be able to get a zillion colors for a cheaper price.

Anyway, thoughts would be appreciated! I'm not terribly thrilled, but some of that is the pencils wouldn't give me the color I wanted...

I agree with all :iconjadedragonne: said. And not just because I'm partial to Prismacolor! ;) I...think that they would blend better. That's one thing I like about how waxy they are (but I hate how they always snap because of how waxy they are). I blend colors with lighter colors. Sometimes I use the blending pencil, but not really.

That said, this is really cute! Love the colors. The skin is actually blended well with the cheaper pencils. And I LOVE her nose.
