Updating for new watchers, and a reminder.Just clearing some things up and saving everyone some time. These answers aren't in response to any one person in particular, but instead are actually what the title says; questions I've had to answer a few times through comments and private notes.
First off, I'm going to cover something I feel is rather important.
Q:
May I use your design/make a character of your species/use your species in my story?A: To put it simply,
no, you may not. Unless I have
very specifically stated in the comments of whatever deviation you may see the design in that others are allowed to make an oc of one of my species (which has yet to happen), they are for use in my own stories only. Some may think this is selfish or unfair, but each design I've created is very much a part of me. In particular, I've noted the ones that seem to be considered most… appealing to others, desirable to make a character of, are ones which are closest to me. You might as well be asking me to give pieces of my soul away, frankly, as ludicrous as that may sound.
…I am grateful that people have thought to ask me instead of just going ahead and doing it, of course. …I am decidedly less grateful to see them go ahead and mimic my designs after I've declined anyway, however. Don't think I will stand by when I see this. I am most serious.
Q: What inspired (insert character/species/story)?A: Probably nothing? Ideas sort of pop into my head, I'm afraid. I always find this question rather difficult to answer. …I kind of wish I had a more interesting one for you? Music helps set the mood for drawing, of course. And I read a lot of mythology as a kid.
Q: Can I get an art request?A: I don't have the time to take art requests. Occasionally I will post journals in which you can post a ref and have a chance at me drawing it, however. Aside from that, I do kiribans. Otherwise,
don't ask me.Q: Will you make an icon of…?A: This is on a longterm hiatus. You can post your request

Q: Will you do an art trade with me?A: The answer is almost certainly yes, so long as you put as much work into your half as I will with mine. c:

Q: Do you rp?A: Nah man, not worth it. Everyone just wants to rp fucking and I'm not into that.
Q: What materials do you use?A: Sakura or Faber Castell liners, Prisma and Laurentian markers, Prisma and Derwent pencils, and whatever sketchbook has space in it.
On the digital side of things, I have Photoshop CS5 Manga Studio, and an ancient Wacom tablet.
Q: May I draw a picture of your character for you?A: Uhm, let's see…
yes! It amazes me that someone likes my characters enough to make gift art, and, honestly it's rather hard to think of a better feeling. ;u;
Q: May I write a story about your character?A: Well, it depends, please consult with me beforehand! I find it really amazing when people write my own characters perfectly, but it just makes sense to ask me questions first, since I don't have a lot of info up here.
Q: Can I ship your oc with my oc/draw them fucking/write about them fucking/make an oc in your headworld?A: ...No. No. No.
Q: I'm going to do it anyway!A: You can and will face legal consequences, same goes if you rip off my oc designs.
Q: Can I have some points?A: …
No, please don't ask me. Sending a note will not help your case.
Q: Can I speak to your oc?A: If you comment on a deviation featuring one of my ocs, speaking to them, you
might get a response... but if it is something rude or even innocent physical interaction, the character will not respond.
Why? Because how would you react to someone you don't know just coming up and hugging (etc.) you?
Nothing against you, but trust me, the vast majority of my characters would not be pleased if they did react.
Q: Can I be your friend?A: Uhm. I appreciate the thought, but I feel that should happen naturally and not through asking. You are always welcome to talk to me.
