The painting bug has been nagging me for a pretty long time now, so I finally set out to finish something instead of just start it and never finish. When I started this earlier I thought it was probably going to end up being one of those “forever half-done” pieces, but I have proven myself otherwise by following through and finishing this painting the same day I started it, and I’m SO proud of myself. Between the last painting I finished and this one, I can already see so much growth, and it’s really encouraging to see that my studies are starting to pay off.

Uhh, well, this is a new character of mine who goes by the name of “Jude”, full name Johnathan Croce. He’s one of Trimarco’s boys, who doesn’t really show up till the second or third part of Honor Among Monsters. He was once one of Antonio’s men, though he betrayed him a while back, thus earning him the nickname "Judas" among his new “crew”.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis piece of artwork is really fantastic when you look at especially the eyes. This looks so realistic that I'm just waiting for it to jump out of the computer and into my house. I love the way that you drew the character not just in a forward facing pose but at an angle because it show off your ability to draw the body accurately. That being said the shoulder on the left looks almost dented in and unnatural with the shadowing. Usually the only time I see a shoulder look like that is from a dislocation. From my perspective it causes that whole corner to look slightly off from the rest of the art. Also the hair is well drawn, but for me I would have liked a bit more detail like the rest of the artwork is drawn. Overall, an excellent piece of art.
