I'm not...quite...sure...what this is. I actually was not inspired by the quote up above, but I was listening to it while working, and it seemed to fit. I was having artist's block while browsing for pics for the Capernaum Project, so I threw this together with some of the stock from my faves and some that I found while browsing. I can't help but feel that it's not finished yet, but I dunno.

I have no idea what the story is here, or why the girl has her head in her hands, or why the horse is bowing, or what's up with the fox. I don't know why the bench is in the background, or why the girl is wearing a crown of thorns. I have ZERO idea why the moon is hanging on a chain. I don't know the story here, but I do know that there IS a story, and I'm going to discover it. Somehow.

Please DO NOT use this on Howrse, Ponybox, or any other horse role play sites. Some of the stock artists don't allow it anyway, but I don't allow it either. Period. No exceptions. Even if the stock artists DID allow it, this would be the case. (I do have a Howrse account, for those of you who are wondering, but I'm not very active lately).

I was originally going to turn this black-and-white before submitting it, but the more I worked with it, the more I loved the subtle differences in all the shades of black and white gray that were destroyed when it was changed to black-and-white. The quiet browns and purples in the horse, the dark blue in the dress...I love the color black. Not since it's "dark," but since it's not--it's full of depth.
