Description

[EDIT] GO LOOK AT THIS!! [link] God is just amazing. I never saw this picture until after I uploaded this :faint:[EDIT]

Yaaaaaay! This character is Enya from Visions of the Neverseen saga by Doeray Griffin. She's the sister of one of the main characters and her bio's here: [link]

Finally done! And actually in much less time than usual. I must have really liked painting it :D But I've found I really need to change my painting routine :shifty: The layer thing is just not working for me

I seriously had fun with this and I hope Doeray likes it. If you are interested in the book, (and you should be, its epic!), check out her page at *Doeray-G.

Time: 8-10 hours

:woohoo: Critique coming your way!
First off, this looks terrific. The pose, expression, and lighting is lovely. You did a terrific job combining it all into this piece. I especially love the details on the skin... and her shoes! You seem to have a great grasp on shadows and highlights (light source), especially on the skin.

is the blue behind her reflective? If so, it should reflect her entire left side, as well as the thing she's sitting on. The right leg would have a fainter highlight.

I don't know if you're going for realism, but the proportions would have to be worked over more. Her left elbow looks to high, the shadow on her right (near the blue highlight) looks a big strange. Her calf muscles would not be so smooth or taper to such a thin point. The collarbone, neck, and shoulders could be sharper. I think the top part of her body could be a bit broader, the slouch seems off because of the size of the neck.

I think you could have done more with the background. (But still leave it so as not to distract from the subject.) The gray on the bottom confuses me somewhat. If it's not part of the floor, it should be the shadow. The shadow would be differently shaped and not as prominent in the front. It should also be darker/more well defined.

I hope this can be useful! I'm jealous it only took you 8-10 hours! Keep creating, I look forward to more :)
