Mission 02: Gundams on Earth

“We call ourselves the Preventers. We are a private armed organization that processes the legendary mobile suits called Gundam.” A young man’s voice from a video said on almost every television with Hamptons. In several areas, where electric stores display the latest television sets, people gathered around to view the video released by private armed organization that had just appeared. This organization is called the Preventers. The video being shown was the Preventer’s declaration against the United Earth Sphere Alliance and their special forces, the Storm Troopers.

Near a street cross walk, a young woman with coffee skin and blue sapphire eyes watches video on a large teleprompter. The woman’s name is Karin Evins. “They’re still broadcasting this video?”  Karin said to herself.

Karin’s boyfriend, TJ Maxwell, joins her side. He breathes heavily after running after her in one of Karin’s pop-races. Karin turns her attention to her boyfriend and says, “Are you all right?”

“I would be if you would stop making run after you,” TJ said.

“You’re so out of shape,” Karin said, giggling.

“You’re just out of control, Karin,” TJ said.

“As of this very moment, I make this declaration to the Storm Troopers and the Earth Sphere Alliance,” Karina and TJ heard. They look up at the teleprompter.

“Karin, do you think that they exists?” TJ asked.

“Who?” Karin said.

“The Preventers. Do you think they’ll take action even if there is nothing in it for them?” TJ said.

“I’m sure they exist considering news from Side 9 this morning,” Karin said. “As for if they’ll take action, they either love volunteering or the Alliance really pissed somebody off.”

“I’m part of the Alliance in case you forgotten,” TJ said.

“Then, you are so screwed,” Karin, said in her joking voice. The sidewalk light turned green, allowing people to walk across the street. She starts giggling as she walks away.

“That is so not funny,” TJ said as he walks down the walkway to stay on Karin’s tail.


Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love some call it, famous for its landmarks, such as the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The city also happens to the main capital for the Union Foundation. Senators from many nations and states, which are allied with Union, reside within the city’s boarders. Also the Union’s top military brasses take up residence here. One of these military generals is Heero Catalonia. Heero was a man in his late 40s with brown hair, which was slowly turning gray. He also had brown eyes.

Heero has been in the Union for the past 30 years and was one of the key factors that led to the Union’s victory on Mars. Not only is he a good commander, in terms of pilot and people handing skills, he is also an adviser to a few of the senators in the Union Senate.

Heero sat in the desk of his office. His desk was covered with reports and forms for certain orders that needed to be carried out later. But Heero’s mind was not on his work. Right now, his focus was on the video he was watching. It was the Preventer’s declaration video. As he watched the video, he thought to his months in the Mars conflicts.

There is a knock on the door of Heero’s office. “Enter,” Heero said while still watching the video. Heero’s aide, a young 1st Lieutenant, enters the room, holding an envelope in his hand.

“Admiral, the Britannia Kingdom has just release the images of those suits that prevented the attack on their colonies,” Heero’s aide said after approaching Heero’s desk.

“Show them to me,” Heero said.

“Yes, sir,” Heero’s aide said. He opens the envelope and pulls out a couple of pictures. He lays the pictures of the table for Heero to see. The pictures show close up images of the Victory 3 Gundam and the Legacy Zeta Gundam.

“So, it was the Preventers,” Heero said, as if he was speaking to himself.

“Our intelligence believes that to be the case, given the statement on the video,” Heero’s aide said.

“What does the senate think about this?” Heero asked.

“The senate is moving to investigate the Gundams before making a decision to join forces with them,” Heero’s aide said. “President Une would like you to form a team for that task.”

“I’ll get right on it,” Heero said. “What is your take on this?”

“Me, sir? Well, to tell you the truth, sir, I’m a little suspicious about them. I think they have a bigger agenda then what they are saying. Are they really going to intervene even though there is nothing in it for them.”

“I feel the same way. But we can’t know for sure unless we find someway to come in contact with them. Only then can we truly judge them.”

“Yes, sir.”

“I would like you to send me all of the files of all the top pilots under my command for candidates for this new team.”

“Yes, sir. Should I include her file as well?”

“Might as well. Although, she’ll join whether I like it or not.”

“Yes, sir.”

Heero’s aide leaves the office. Heero looks out the window of his office. His window proves a prefect view of the city. “I had a feeling you would show up again, Gundams,” Heero said.


The city of Berlin is the capital of Germany and serves as home for the Earth Sphere Alliance Assembly. This city is also holds one of several palaces for the Selene family. The palace was stylized in the mixed fashion of a German medieval castle and the Buckingham Palace with many modern updates and features. Several Leto guard type mobile suits patrol the outer walls of the palace. This sight was normal for the people in Berlin, except for today. Today, there were more Leto mobile suits patrolling the palace. This only meant one thing: something pretty damn big was happening inside the palace walls.

A few of the Alliance’s top Generals and Admirals, both male and female, sat in the office belong to the First Princess of the Alliance, Dorothy Selena. Dorothy was a very fit woman in her late 40s, with long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She wore a charcoal grey business suit that had jeweled embroidering on her sleeves, giving her more of a commanding presence in the room.

Sitting in the chair to Dorothy’s right hand was a tall man wearing an iron mask, which covered the upper half of his face. The mask made it almost impossible to determine his age or what he looks like. This man was Dorothy’s most trusted soldier in the Alliance military, commander of the Storm Troopers, and secret husband to the First Princess. This man went by one name, even to those closest to him, the Black Comet. However, long ago, he went by another name before becoming the leader of the Storm Troopers, John Dullundal.

In front of each person at the long table was small screen, which showed the footage of the Hizack and Spearhead performance test run. The footage also showed the two Gundams in combat.

“Our latest models and they were defeated so easily,” Admiral Goring said.

“Is true that one of the Hizacks used its hyper mode against one of those Gundams?” a female Alliance Admiral asked.

“Yes. Not along did the Gundam dodged Hizack’s shots, but deflected them with a powerful beam shield,” The Black Comet said.

“Then, this means we’ll have to delay the production of these suits,” Admiral Coston said.

“Not just that,” a male Alliance General said. “Everything that happened at A Baoa Que II has gone public on Side 3 and they’ve spread word to all the colonies and here on Earth. They know that we have more forces inside their boarders then we are allowed by treaty limitations. They all want to know what else we’ve been keeping secret from them.”

“As if they can boss us around,” a male Alliance Admiral chuckled. Some of the other generals and admirals started chuckling as well.

“Silence,” Dorothy commanded. Silence fell onto the room. “Admiral Lang, has your intelligence department come up with any information on the Gundams or these Preventers?”

“My department is working to find any possible connections between the Preventer and Union,” Admiral Jade Lang said. “We’re also looking for connections with the ENOZ and any other nations who are hostile towards the Alliance. After all, it would take the funding and recourses from a powerful nation to develop a mobile suit. Let alone 4 of them.”

“That for sure,” a female Admiral said.

“However, we haven’t been able to find any information of such alliances,” Admiral Lang said. “Not even our spies within the Union have picked up any new information about the Preventers.”

“The Union is in the same boat as we are?” Admiral Goring asked.

“It seems that way,” Admiral Lang said.

“There is one thing we know for certain. The Preventers has suits that surpass our mobile suits, even our Spearhead and Hizack, mobile suit Gundam. Continue gathering as much information about the Preventers as you can, Lang. As for the rest, spread the word to all command to either capture or destroy any Gundam that crosses their path,” Dorothy said. “Dismissed!”

All the admirals and generals leave the room, leaving the Black Comet and Dorothy alone.

“Do you think the Preventers are were the same group that helped the Union 30 years ago?” The Black Comet asked.

“It’s possible,” Dorothy said. “Your predecessor reported of 3 suits that were emitting the same colored particles as the Gundams. There is no way that can be a coincidence. But why are they making their move now after all this time?”

“Maybe to further prepare themselves for their fight against us,” The Black Comet said.

“Or for something else all together,” Dorothy said. “I guess all we can do is wait for their next move.”


As the Earth, the colonies, the Moon, Mars and Jupiter continue to speculate and wonder the intentions of new private armed organization; the Preventers continue their work in their war against the Storm Troopers and the corrupted Earth Sphere Alliance. In a few secret stations on Earth and all the space settlements, Preventer agents monitor actions taken by the Alliance, as well as other nations that could be considered a threat. In other stations, there is the manufacturing of ships, mobile suit, vehicles and colonies for the Preventers to uses. One of the largest of these stations is the Garden of Thorns, the home to pilots of the Preventer’s Gundams.

Aside from being a factory, the Garden of Thorns has the same system functions as those of a space colony, including housing, parks, and shops. This was a good thing for pilots who weren’t on duty and need a break ever now and then. Amuro sat in the chair of a picnic table, reading a 21st century novel from a sci-fi franchise that started in the year 1977 of A.D. calendar.

He was about to start reading chapter 10 of his book when heard his name being called. Amuro looks up to sees Louise and Alex walking towards him. From what Amuro could see, Alex seemed to be carrying a lot of shopping bags in his hands. The sight makes Amuro chuckle for a bit.

“What the hell are you laughing at,” Louise asked when she and Alex reached Amuro.

“What do you think?” Amuro said. He turns his attention to Alex’s filled hands. This causes Louise to look.

“Oh, those. Those clothes are just precaution for when we get stuck on Earth or any unfriendly colonies,” Louise said.

“That’s what you said the last we went shopping!” Alex shouted.

“I did?” Louise asked, trying to act innocent.

“Louise, there are some days where I wonder why I every go out with you,” Alex said.

“Because I got class, a sense of humor, and bubbling personality,” Louise said.

“Not to mention one hell of a sharp shooter,” Amuro mumbled in a low voice.

“I heard that!” Louise said.

“Anyway, where is Seth?” Amuro asked, changing the subject.

“He got a call from one of our agents and went off to report to Captain Mackenzie,” Alex said.

“I was hoping from his mysterious girlfriend,” Louise said.

“What are you talking about?” Amuro said.

“Everyday, he gets a call or a message from a girl on Earth,” Louise said. “Therefore, he must have a girlfriend.”

Amuro start chuckling. Louise gives him a serious and says, “You don’t know anything about it, would you?”

“No. Even if I did, why does it interest you? You’re already spoken for,” Amuro said.

“It’s not like that!” Louise yelled.

Then, Amuro’s cell phone goes off, causing him to pick up. “Amuro. What’s up, Captain?” Amuro said into his phone.

“We’ve got a new mission for you guys,” Captain Kelly Mackenzie’s voice said through Amuro’s phone. “Get back on White Base at once for the briefing.”

“We’ll be there,” Amuro said before hanging up. Amuro looks at Louise and Alex and says, “We need to head back. We got a new mission on our hands.”

“Darn, I was hoping to do more shopping,” Louise said.

“What is with you and clothes? It’s like you’re obsessed,” Alex said. Amuro leads the way back to White Base, as Louise and Alex have a lovers quarrel.


Meanwhile, a fleet of Union Magellan X class unknowingly passes by the Preventer’s base on its way towards the Earth. On board the flagship of the fleet, the Morgan, was Mariemaia Catalonia, the daughter of Heero Catalonia. Mariemaia lied down on the bed of her private quarters. Her mind was racing with the images of the 2 Gundams she saw. She replayed the Gundam’s attacks over and over again.

The counsel on the wall next to her bed starts beeping, breaking Mariemaia’s train of thought. She sits up and presses the talk button, which turned on the small monitor in the counsel. The ship’s Communications Operator, a young, dirty blonde woman, appears on the screen and says, “I’m sorry for disturbing you, ma’am, but we’re receiving a long distance call from Rukia Vlady of Side 3 for you.”

“Patch her through,” Mariemaia said. The screen changes to a girl of 18 named Rukia Vlady. From what Mariemaia could see, Rukia was totally unaware that they were in contact with one another.

“Where the hell did I put swimsuit?” Rukia asked herself.

“Going on a little trip?” Mariemaia said.

Rukia stops dead in her tracks and looks at the screen at her end. “How long have we’ve been connected?” Rukia asked

“A while,” Mariemaia said. “As much as I am interested as to why you’re looking for your swim suit, I’m more interested in your data on those Gundams.”

“You know just as much about the Gundams as I do. You saw what happened, remember?”

“I remember. I’m more interested in those particles that Gundams were emitting.”

“Oh, that. Well, you’re not going to believe what I’m going to say about that.”

“Try me.”

“According to the data I’ve gathered, it seems that the Gundams were emitting a refined type of Minovsky Particles.”

“What? You’ve got to be kidding?”

“Would I kid you?”

“But why did communication break down when the Gundams showed up? Shouldn’t the countermeasure prevents that from happening?”

“Hence the refined part. It seems the Gundam’s drive has enhanced the Minovsky particles properties and its affects on other systems.”

“That’s all you got?”

“Oh, there is more to it then meets the eye. However, I don’t have the data to support any of my wild theories.”

“Well, now that we’ve got that out of the way. Now, to my next question, why are you looking for your swimsuit?”

“You’ll find out soon enough. Got to run.” Then, Rukia disappeared off screen.

“That was weird,” Mariemaia said to herself.


Amuro, Alex, and Louise arrive at the bridge of the White Base II. The Bridge’s crew, Captain Kelly Mackenzie, Seth Evins, and 4 Haros stood by a large circle screen on the wall behind the captain’s chair and radar and ship’s operation station. The screen showed a real-time map of country of South Africa. The map showed movements and battles between the Alliance force and the South African minority forces.

“What’s up?” Louise asked.

“We just word that the Alliance is planning a major strike against the South African minority’s stronghold near Bloemfontein,” Kelly said. “According to our intel, the country’s president and influential members of the Senate have taken refuge there. These people have been the voice for the country’s anti-Alliance movement.”

“Which is what the South African majority doesn’t want,” Amuro said.

“The Majority and the minority have been in constant struggle since the time of Neo Zanscare War,” Kelly said. “At the time, they were in a stalemate. Then, the Alliance intervened around 30 years.”

“That around the time the Union was gain momentum from their victories on Mars,” Alex said.

“Which we helped out,” Crystal Cora said, crossing her arms.

“Anyway, even with the Alliance support, the Majority was unable to break the stalemate,” Kelly said. “It got worse when the current president took office and made negotiations for his country to become apart of the Union. The Majority attempted an assassination on the president, but Union prevented it. So, the Majority and the Alliance set up a blockade along every inch of the country’s boarder. The Union has secretly been shipping supplies and medical aide to the people.”

“So, why the rush to attack minority stronghold now?” Amuro said.

“With the blockade and Union’s air shipment of supplies, the Majority losing support from the Majority South African population,” Kelly said. “We are going to intervene in this conflict. You four will head down to stronghold and stop the Majority forces. Your main concern is the Majority forces.”

“The only them. Shouldn’t we be worried about the Alliance?” Louise said.

“We also got word that the Majority is going make another attempt on the president’s life,” Kelly said. “The Alliance doesn’t know about this. As far as we know, the Alliance is planning to use the president’s influence to get the people in the Alliance’s favor.”

“So, your tell us to not fight the Alliance?” Seth asked, confused.

“I didn’t say that,” Kelly said. “Your haros have all the battle plans for this mission. Good luck and come out alive. Dismissed.”


After changing into pilot normal suits, Amuro, Alex, Seth, and Louise make their way launch pad one of the Garden of Thorns’ hanger bay. Their Gundams were being loaded onto atmospheric re-entry pods that looked like old space shuttle that were damaged in the Universal Century’s previous wars. Each pod was designed to reach speed that would make people think that the pods were shooting stars, if you weren’t looking closely at them.

Louise finishes tying her long dark brown hair into a bun so she could put on her helmet. Louise’s Red Haro rolls over to her side. “Does it look good, Haro?” Louise said.

“Cute! Cute!” Red Haro said.

“Why bother asking that when you’re going to put on a helmet?” Alex asked.

“Honestly, you don’t know a damn thing about women,” Louise said. She walks away from Alex.

“You messed up, Alex. You messed up,” Red Haro said.

“I was only telling her truth,” Alex said.

“Which may not have been the wise thing to do,” Seth said.

“What do you know? You don't have girlfriend,” Alex said.

“How do you know?” Seth asked.

“You mean you actually have girlfriend?” Alex said.

“Maybe. And if you tell Louise this, I will slap you upside the head,” Seth said, before walking off.

“Gees, if knew I was going to get yelled, I wouldn’t have gotten out of bed,” Alex said.

“Don’t think about it, Alex,” Amuro said. “Just get you mind on the mission.”

“Right,” Alex said.

The 4 Gundam pilots enter the cockpits of their Gundams before the pods are sealed up. All personal, who were wearing standard normal suits, move to a safe please in order avoid being thrown around the hanger bay way the force of the pods being launched.

The hanger bay’s large set of doors open, revealing the vast sea of stars in front. Kelly’s image appears on all the screens of the 4 Gundams’ cockpits. “Course is clear. Good luck all out there,” Kelly said.

“Roger!” the 4 Gundam pilots say.

“Pods launching in 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Launch!” Crystal said. All 4 pods launch into space, speeding their way towards the Earth.


Meanwhile, the Union Magellan X fleet was a few hours away from re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere. Mariemaia enters the bridge of the Morgan, it crew working at their stations. Outside, the Earth was in full view. Its majestic beauty brought delight to Mariemaia’s face, despite having seen this sight some many times. She still remembered her first time seeing the Earth when she was 8 years after a 4-month journey from Mars with her parents.

“Any signs of Alliance ships in the area?” Mariemaia asked the captain of the ship.

“None so far,” the captain said. “Looks like we’ll have a safe return to Earth.”

“You don’t really believe that, do you?” Mariemaia said.

“Of course not,” the captain said.

Then, the bridge’s red lights go off, telling the crew of incoming objects. The ship’s Radar officer, a man with ginger hair, scans the area to determine what was coming their way.

“I’ve got for objects on our starboard side,” the Radar Officer said.

“Enemy ships?” the captain asked.

“No, sir. They appear to be old shuttles,” the Radar Officer said.

“Hail them,” the captain ordered.

“The shuttles aren’t responding, sir,” The ship’s Communications Operator said.

“Get a visual on them,” Mariemaia asked.

The Radar officer did as he was told. He puts the image of the 4 shuttles on one of the large screens, which could be viewed by the bridge’s crew.

“What’s their destination?” the captain asked.

“It looks like they’re heading towards the Earth,” the Radar Officer said. “However, at the speed they’re going, they’ll burn up on reentry.”

“What’s that?” Mariemaia said. These words call everyone to look at the screen. The shuttles were breaking apart in many pieces, revealing four re-entry pods unlike any the bridge’s crew had ever seen before. The pods seemed to be emitting blue particles. These particles drew Mariemaia’s attention like a magnet.

“It’s the Preventers,” Mariemaia said.

The captain snaps his head towards Mariemaia once she those words. “Where will those pods land?” the captain asked.

“Sir, at that speed--,” the Rader Officer said before the captain slammed his fist into the arm of his chair.

“These are the Preventers we’re talking,” the captain said.

“Yes, sir. Understood. According to our data, they’ll be landing at South Africa. Right where the Minority Stronghold is.”

“Sir, Intelligence states that the Alliance and the South African Majority are launching a major offensive against the Minority Forces,” the Communications Operator said.

“Captain, alter our course,” Mariemaia said. “We must go after those Gundams.”

“At the rate we’re going, we’ll never be able to catch up to them,” the captain said.

“I know that,” Mariemaia said. “But we will be able to catch up with them when they leave after their mission.”

“Makes good sense,” the captain said, putting together what Mariemaia was planning in his mind. “Contact the fleet. Tell them to alter their course to match those pods!”

“Yes, sir,” the bridge’s crew said.

“I’ll be in my GM Custom,” Mariemaia said. “I’ll head out when you spot a Gundam.”

“I’ll let you know when we do,” the captain said. Mariemaia nods and leaves the bridge.


The re-entry pods descent fast into the Earth’s atmosphere. The blue particles gather in front of the pods, creating a protective shield against the intense heat of re-entry. For the next couple of minutes, all communication systems were down in the Gundams and pods.

Amuro breathed through his nose, trying to keep as calm as possible. The 360 viewing screen was shut down throughout the whole thing, making it impossible for Amuro to know what was happening outside. Of course, if he did see, Amuro would probably freak out.

Then, small screen by screen, Amuro could see what was happening outside. The continent of Africa grew bigger and bigger as the re-entry pods came closer and closer to its destination. The eyes of Amuro’s Haro blinked brightly, serving as timer for how long the Gundams would remain encased in the re-entry pods. Africa’s continent grew bigger and bigger before Amuro’s eyes. The speed of the re-entry pods increased as gravity took affect.

“Ejection time coming up,” Louise’s voice said over the comm.-system. “There’ll be a slight shake, but don’t panic.”

“Counting down in 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Eject!” Amuro’s Haro said.

The re-entry pods broke apart around the Gundams. All the parts of the re-entry pods self-destructed. The 4 Gundams weaved and dodged all the parts that survived the explosions.

The 4 Gundam continue their descent down towards the African continent. The Gundam’s propulsion systems prevent them from going into a freefall.

“We’ll be near our destination in a couple of minutes,” Louise said. “I’m expecting a decent performance from you guys.”

“Decent is okay,” Seth said.

“I’ll try to hold back, but I can’t make any promises,” Alex said.

“Ain’t that the truth?” Louise commented.

“Hey!” Alex said. The other Gundam pilots laugh.

The 4 Gundams were high above the target destination that could get a close up shots of the battle below without being seen. Amuro watched the images on his monitor. The screens made him recall the events that happened in Egypt. He remembered watch Storm Trooper GM Quels destroying buildings and firing on civilians.

“Amuro? Amuro! Hey, Amuro, wake up!” Louise said. Amuro snapped out of daze. Louise’s image was on his monitor. “Is your head on straight?”

“Yeah,” Amuro said. “I was just thinking about Egypt.”

Louise fell silent when she heard these words. “Don’t worry. We won’t let an incident that happen again, right?” Louise said.

“Right,” Amuro said with great determination in his voice.

“We’ve been detected! We’ve been detected!” Amuro’s Haro said alarmingly.

“All right, everyone,” Louise said. “The mission is now. Let’s go.” The 4 Gundams increase their speed towards their target. The Legacy Zeta transforms into his G-Fortress mode. Mounted on the back of the G-Fortress was a tail unit. The Legacy Zeta flies over the Alliances’ front lines and bombards the line with missiles that were housed in the suits tail unit. Once the all missiles were launched, the Legacy Zeta discards the tail unit.

Back in Berlin, Princess Dorothy Selena and other Alliance Generals monitor the battle in South Africa, where the Minority Forces were making their stand. So far, the Minority Forces were putting up a fight. However, their forces were now crumbling under the pressure from the Alliance’s military support.

“Any new reports coming in?” an Alliance General said.

“Things seemed to be going as planned,” one of the Alliance soldiers said, who was gaining reports from the frontlines of the battle.

“Sirs, Princess, we’ve got a new report coming in,” a female Alliance soldier said.

“Read it,” Dorothy said.

“ ‘We’ve detected four mobile suits coming down from skies. Satellite images show that they maybe Gundams,’ ” the female Alliance soldier said.

“Gundams!” another Alliance General shouted.

“Bring up the visual,” Dorothy ordered. Several large monitors turned on revealing images of the battle coming from space satellites. So far, none of the monitors showed Gundams. Then, a Gundam, White Demon, appeared on a monitor. The Gundam shot down 2 suits belonging to the South African Majority Leto Suits, before smashing its shield into the head of an Alliance GM Quel.

“So, that’s one of the new Gundams?” an elder woman’s voice said. Dorothy turned around in his chair. The Generals rose to attention. Dorothy’s mother, the Empress of the Alliance, Jessica Selene, enters the room. Jessica was as fit as her daughter. She had blonde hair, with a sliver tone thanks to her graying hair. Jessica wore a business suit, which had no hint that she was royal or leader of a powerful nation.

“Mother? What are you doing here?” Dorothy asked as she rose to her feet. Jessica waved her hand, allowing everyone who was standing to sit back in his or her seats. Dorothy was the only one that remained standing up.

“I’m just being curious, dear,” Jessica simply said. She took the seat next to her daughter’s. “I’m quite interested in what these Gundams can really do.”

“Mother, we could send you reports on this matter,” Dorothy said. “There is no need for you to be hear.”

“My dear daughter, your uncle and I have something in common,” Jessica said. “I only believe in something unless I see it with my own eyes.”

Dorothy sat back down in her chair. Jessica turned her attention to the monitors, each one keeping track of the 4 Gundams in action. The 4 Gundam were bombarding, hacking, slashing and sniping their way through the enemy lines, receiving no damage in the process.

“How much of our forces have been taking down?” a third Alliance General said.

“Sir, the Majority forces have lost 25% of their forces. We’ve lost only 15% of our forces,” a second female Alliance soldier reported.

“Strange,” the 1st Alliance General said. “Why would the Majority force have more losses then ours?”

“They could be attacking the Majority forces so that they could intimate our forces,” the third Alliance General said.

“I doubt it,” Jessica said. All eyes turn to her. “Considering the way they made their presence known to us, they’re not the type to use intimation against such a large force like we have there.”

“Are you saying that the Preventers are hitting hard on the Majority forces for some other purpose?” Dorothy asked.

“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Jessica said. “The big question here is what that purpose is.”


Back in South Africa, at the Minority’s stronghold, the 4 Gundams continued their assault on the Alliance and the Majority forces. The remaining Minority Mobile Suits, desert equipped GM X, fell back to the stronghold, letting the 4 Gundams take up most of the heavy lifting.

The Legacy Zeta and Victory 3 Gundam took to skies in their fighter mode, bombarding the enemy suits. Alex reframed from using the Legacy Zeta’s high-powered beam bazookas, which were mounted on the Gundam’s back. Right now, the bazookas were set to rapid-fire machine guns.

Louise stayed as close to the stronghold as possible, providing sniper cover for her comrades and the Minority suits. Amuro took the enemy suits head on. One by one, the both Majority and Alliance suits fell. For the most part, Amuro avoided hitting the cockpits of the suits he brought down.

As he fought, memories of his experience in Egypt and the battle he fought on the night he joined the Preventers crept back into his mind. Thinking about those dark days made him sick and wanting revenge.

Then, a powerful laser blast flew towards him, leaving Amuro without enough time to dodge. The blast hits the White Demon. The Gundam remained in one piece, without a single scratch on it.

Louise shots down the suit, a Leto, which fired the shot at Amuro. Amuro continued his assault, with Louise backing him up.

“Don’t get too worked up, Amuro,” Louise said.

“I’m doing just fine, thank you,” Amuro said, as he took down another enemy suit.

Then, all the suits belonging to the Alliances retreated from the battle zone. However, the Majority forces were pressing their attack, just as Captain Kelly Mackenzie predicted they would.


Back at Berlin, Dorothy, Jessica and all the military personal watched the Majority forces continued their attack despite the fact that an order to retreat had been made.

“What the hell are they doing?” the second Alliance general yelled. “Didn’t they get the order to retreat?”

“Yes, sir,” said a second Alliance soldier.

“We’ve been had,” Jessica said. Everyone took their gaze off the monitors and onto Jessica.

“What?” Dorothy said.

“It is obvious that the Majority leaders weren’t going to go along with our plan to use the Minority leader to gain South African people’s support,” Jessica said. “So, they’re using this battle to assassinate the Minority leader.”

“I don’t believe it,” Dorothy said.

“Should we send our remaining forces to take down the Majority forces?” the first Alliance general asked.

“I don’t think that will be necessary. The Gundams will do that for us,” Jessica said. All eyes returned to the monitors. Sure enough, the 4 Gundams were ripping the Majority forces apart. Then, with more then 60 percent of his forces decimated, the Majority forces were forced to retreat from the battle.

“See,” Jessica said.

“It seems we’ve underestimated the power of these Gundams once again,” the third Alliance General said.

“I’m willing to bet that we’re going to be underestimating them quite a bit,” Dorothy said.

“Sirs, we getting reports that the Union forces are making their way towards Minority stronghold,” the female Alliance soldier said. “Our African forces want to know if they should attack.

“Tell our force to let those Union troops be,” said the first Alliance General. “I’ve already suffered enough causalities as it is.”

“Yes, sir,” the female alliance soldier said. She looks at the monitor and says, “The Gundams are retreating from the battlefield. Odd, one of them is break off from the main group.”

“Which one?” Jessica asked.

“It the Gundam marked as White Demon,” the female alliance soldier said.

“Your highness, judging my its course, the Gundam will run into small fleet of Union Magellan X ships that just safely reenter the planet,” a third Alliance soldier said.

“Interesting,” Dorothy said. “The Gundam is going to fight the Union so that its comrades can get away. These Preventers are very loyal bunch to do self-sacrifice. Get a visual on the fight.”

“You want to use this to our advantage?” Jessica said.

“Plus, I want to see how much the Union really knows about the Gundams,” Dorothy said, with a wicked smile on her face.


The Gundam White Demon hovered in the air, over the Atlantic Sea, waiting for the Union Magellan X ships to come closer to his position. Amuro monitored the escape progress of the other Gundam pilots. He only need a few minutes to make sure they got a clean get away from the eyes of the Union. Amuro didn’t like this idea of fighting the Union. He knew that would make great allies for the fight against the Alliance. But Amuro also knew that Alliance had many spies and agents deep within the Union’s highest levels.

Until those agents were rooted out, the Preventers status quo was to fight the Union if it was necessary. This fight was going to be one of those cases. The Magellan X ships came into range, where the ship’s bigger guns could shoot down Amuro. Amuro prepared himself for the challenge. The minutes went by fast. Amuro’s heart beated wildly as his waited for the ships to launch all their mobile suits at him.

However, only one mobile suit was launched. It came out of the lead ship, which Amuro figured was the flagship of this fleet. The suit was the Union’s RGM-79N-X GM Custom X. However, this one was different from the ones that Amuro had studied on. It was color in the same scheme as the Union’s GM X type suits. On it’s left shoulder pad was a lion head with the Union flag behind it.

The GM Custom flew towards the White Demon; with its Beam saber ready to cut the Gundam down. Amuro drew his beam saber and blocked the GM’s attack. The two mobile suits crossed their blades of energy together several time before becoming deadlock.

Amuro’s communication system was going off. “The pilot is hailing me?” Amuro said to himself.

“What do we do? What do we do?” Haro asked.

“Put the pilot on speaker, Haro,” Amuro said.

“Only, putting me on speaker, huh?” said the pilot. Amuro recognized the voice to be female. “You’re pretty secretive, Gundam pilot.”

“Aren’t you a little cocky to be facing me alone?” Amuro asked.

“I can’t help it. I get that way when something pecks my interest,” the female pilot said. “Unfortunately for you, you and the other Gundams have become my main obsession.”

“Who are you?” Amuro asked, becoming intrigued by his new opponent.

“I am Lieutenant Mariemaia Catalonia, the Lioness of the Union,” Mariemaia said.
