Day 7 Conflicted Interest

And so ends one week of sketches! Already I feel a lot more confident in fitting my ponies into real physical surroundings, but of course I still have a lot more to learn.

I really enjoyed drawing this one- I didn't have to look up references every 2 seconds and I didn't get stuck so it was quite pleasant. In fact, I only looked up to double check Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo's manes.

I made loads of mistakes, though! Most notably Twilight's balcony. Sweetie Belle's neck, Scootaloo's head size (I think?) and- why are all my ponies doing that thing with their leg?! Cut it out Rainbow!

...Also Applebloom is missing off page to the left.


I wanted Dash and the CMC to be farther in the distance, but I couldn't physically draw them any smaller. I may need to upgrade to A2 >_> just one more thing to think about if I end up getting popular.


I actually kind of object to this piece, story wise. I'd never want to stick Twilight in a position where she has to struggle with sudden uncomfortable feelings, especially after she was having such a good time with Dash, but that's just what the theme prompted this time.

It's alright Twilight, just go to bed, you'll be ok.
