Pen Pals - Intro

"So class, today we will be doing something special." You look up at your teacher Mr. Moe, wondering what he has in mind. That last special thing he had for the class resulted in a kid being taken to the emergency room. Those cats were adorable though….

"Since this is English, I had thought about doing something fun that didn't need a lot of effort. So, you're all getting pen pals!" You blink, smiling slightly while twirling your pencil, 'Pen pals? That sounds kind of fun!

"Yes, yes. Quiet down children. Now you're going to be getting other high school students just from a different country!

"Now I know what you're thinking. 'Mr. Moe, how in the world am I going to communicate with someone who's from another country? They don't speak the same language as I do.'

"Well children they do know Basic English and this is supposed to help them so I've assigned them to you on how well they know English."

You stopped twirling your pencil and furrow your eyebrows. 'So this is going to help the other person with English since it's not their native language? Hmm…

"Miss (Name), since you are the highest student in my class I will allow you to choose who you want. So come up here and see what we've got."

You laugh a little at Mr. Moe's enthusiasm; you've always loved him and respected him. You've had him as your English teacher since freshmen year and have always been his 'star pupil'. And before you ask, no you're not a 'teacher's pet' you just love him that much.
