Umbra, The One In the Shadows

In an time before Celestia, Equestria lived desolate by a eternal darkness.

A brave pegasus named Phosphorus decides to travel to the nearest star in sky to bring some of it's light to his people.

Hiding in the shadows of the mountains the dragoness Umbra observes the pegusus crossing the skies of Equestria day after day, mesmerized by his bright light.

Everyday she tried to draw Phosphorus attention, but with no avail.

Desperate for his attention and frustrated by her constant failures, Umbra, in a insane plan to keep the pegasus for herself, lurks in the shadow of a mountain and cut Phosphorus wings during one of his morning flights forcing him to fall into the ground.

However, Phosphorus did not survived the fall and ashamed by what she had done, Umbra runs into the deepest shadows of the world and hides there for all her eternity.

Well, right after I've draw Phosphorus [link] for a challenge, I began to draw the other part of his tale, Umbra the dragoness, but only now I decided to finish and share it with the world.

I don't really know how to draw dragons, but I couldn't let pass the opportunity to try right? ^^

However she doesn't look much like a female, but I guess this kind of thing it different for dragons, so it's ok. I hope.

Also, I gave her name before doing some research about it's actual meaning and when I found out, it fitted into the tale like a glove. ^^'
