Also, an update from me: the collab that I was talking about (see below) is with several great writers here on dA and headed up by inknalcohol to write an article on the Romance genre for CRLiterature because September is Literature month for ArtHistoryProject (journal: fav.me/d5a05le ). The title of the article is "A Romantic Takeover" and is scheduled to be featured on Sept. 20th. Anybody who's interested, be sure and check out CRLiterature that day. I'm writing the section on Paranormal Romance, which is romance with elements of science fiction, fantasy, and even horror mixed in. I'm hoping to be able to feature writing from deviants that fit into the paranormal fantasy genre. I'm not sure yet how many I'll choose...let's say a handful. lol. So I would love some suggestions from my watchers of deviants or stories that you would like to see featured and think fit the requirements. Feel free to promote yourself and your friends...if it fits the genre and I like it, I just might pick it. I would prefer notes rather than comments, though. It's easier for me to keep track. I'm going to be taking a little break from dA for a while. I'm not leaving completely...just won't be around as much. I still have responsibilities and commitments, and I plan to keep them. I'm just a little overwhelmed with everything that is going on in my life right now, and I need some space.

Also, unless I am struck with an unexpected bout of inspiration, you probably won't be seeing stories from me for a while. All the stories are in my head...but I'm having the hardest time putting them down on paper. If there was a way to just think them onto the page, I'd be set. Seriously, someone should invent that...I would buy it. I love writing for my boys, but I can't force anything. They are good to me and understand, and thankfully they manage quite well on their own.

But when you can't write, the best thing to do is to keep writing. To that end, I've committed to a couple of non-fiction projects that I'm rather excited about. The first is a collab with several other great writers...but I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to give details about it yet. I'll share when I know it's okay to do so. But...do you guys know of any good paranormal romance stories here on dA? I have a few in mind but am open for suggestions. If you know of any, I would appreciate it if you link me to them. What I am very excited about is a series of articles I've committed to write for CRLiterature and ArtHistoryProject, which are featuring literature for the month of September. (Journal with more details: fav.me/d5a05le ) As soon as I saw the journal, I knew I wanted to write about tricksters in literature. Who doesn't love a good trickster...Loki, anyone? I quickly realized that one article just wouldn't be enough to do tricksters justice. SO...I'm going to write a series of 5 articles that are scheduled to be featured the last week of September, from the 24th through the 28th. So expect to be spammed with nonfiction that week. If you don't like that...oh, well. I'm not sorry.

Topics will be: Tricksters in Mythology and Folklore, Tricksters in Fables and Folktales, Shakespearean Tricksters, Tricksters in Fantasy Literature, and Tricksters in Modern Literature. I've already done a lot of research and have a rough list of characters I want to cover, but I would love your suggestions and if you really love me links to credible sources. I would especially appreciate suggestions for tricksters in fantasy literature and modern literature as there are so many possibilities and I want to focus on characters that people will recognize. (Note: Modern-day tricksters are defined a bit differently than classic ones, more of an anarchist or rebel against the constraints of society rather than a devious, plotting prankster...think Tyler Durden from Fight Club or Ferris Bueller.)
