BACKGROUND
Personality} Note from NSEC: She can be snippy and prissy at times but has also made a friend who is just as prissy and snippy (Althea). The two rambunctious girls are inseparable!
Note from CoaH: Since coming to CoaH she has seemed to develop a very independent attitude. She’s quick and brash to react, and even without thinking about it she might try to nip you or pin her ears. She really doesn’t need a reason to be in a mood. She has her moments, but most of the time she is very much an alpha mare. She can easily make friends with other mares, but this doesn’t seem to ease the anxiety she feels since leaving her old farm and her old playmate Althea.
History} Times had gotten rough around CoaH. Melody was withdrawing and no one knew how to stop her. Toasted Bone Stables had shut down, and the horses had gone missing. There was no word, no news, not even Melody knew. Judge, the farm’s Nordanner stallion, had also gone missing in the fray. Confused, lost in her own bitter emotions, Melody locked away in her manor for several days – Christabelle taking charge. She found herself scrolling through ads, turning to an old habit. Maybe it was lack of sleep, or lack of food, or lack of just any conscious thought, but nothing seemed to spark her interest. No horses were bought in her days of solitude, though many advertisements had been read through. It wasn’t until the last day before she emerged again that she found her; a filly directly from Judge himself. A beautiful seal brown tobiano mare. Melody subconsciously touched the screen where Judge’s name appeared in the filly’s pedigree, and a tear rolled down Melody’s cheek.
Perhaps it was this filly, perhaps it was having that link between Toasted Bone – between Landon – that brought her around. But several hours after purchase was confirmed, Melody emerged from her house, eyes stinging against the sun’s greeting light. It would take several more days until she was willing to hold a conversation, but it was progress, and soon, the last bit of what was left of Toasted Bone Stables would soon be at her farm. A cherished memory. A valued remembrance. A gorgeous filly. The Daughter of Judge.
