ANR Ch 3 Development

This is my process for writing each chapter of A New Reality. I thought I would post this to give others a ideas of how I write chapters so they can come up with inventive ways to help with their own writing (call me arrogant!).

I'm a very visual person. I try to write what I see and see what I write, which is one of the reason I love manga soooooo much. I can never really separate the two. There are just some images that I can't put into words and some feelings, atmosphere etc, that I just can't put a picture to. So I came up with some ways to reach a relatively happy medium.

1) is the Chapter Description. It's a very simple sheet where I place the main plot points of each chapter. I sometimes have a hard time placing scenes//memories in a particular order or space/time. So I just get this sheet move things around until I like the fit and get to writing!

2) is what I like to call an Image Dissection sheet. I only use this if I have an image in my head that hard to get down on paper. In the process of making a quick sketch of the scene I'm able to find words to describe it (again from my inability to really separate words from images). At the bottom are just some images (reference pics) of the main focus of a scene. **References pics are awesome for both drawing and writing. If you can't find something to want get something close to it!** The main format is from an animation production sheet that I re-purposed for my use.

3) is pen and paper. I'm a very physical person and I sometimes find it really difficult to type what I'm thinking as I'm thinking it. Computers are very detaching for me. Pen to paper is a lot more fluid and natural (Which is where my motto, "Humanity of the Human Hand" comes from. But in the end do what's best for you!

I have no real problem sharing some of my other forms are directing to some of the cool sites that have helped me!

I have a lot of other forms that help me with various writing process but since this is a fanfic, not something I plan on publishing in a book (not that I could), I have only a few. I do have a story sheet where I'm planning this story out on but you'll probably not see that until the story is over.
